Am I the only guy who thinks women don’t care about height as much as the internet leads people to believe?

I feel like guys online (especially this site) are always crying about women wanting dudes who are 6’0+ but every woman I know in person, doesn’t have a strict height requirement. Sure they might prefer tall guys but I don't know anyone who goes “if you’re under 6’2, don’t talk to me 😡” in person. That’s something I’ve only ever heard online.

I also know plenty of dudes who are like 5’7 - 5’9 and they never had any issues dating women. shit I’m like 5’4 and women have wanted to get with me so like where does this come from? 😭

Do these women really not want y’all because you’re 5’9? or is your personality just shit and you’re using women being picky as an excuse? Lol

don’t matter how short you are or how average looking you are, if you got a good personality, confidence, and you know how to spit game, then you shouldn’t have any issues picking up women 🤷‍♂️

I don't believe people in real life have such outrageous standards, as people on the Internet claim. All you have to do is having a good hygiene, being healthy, not overweight, wear clean, fitted clothes, have a nice personality, be fun to be around, kind etc.

No, you don't have to look like Brad Pitt, be a billionaire with your own private dungeon and yacht and be 7ft tall.

HA I hope not because over here I feel like guys posting short guy questions usually scream the opposite. "I am short and I am nothing" That's all I see and to have you break that cycle is so relieving to see.
I'm 5'10, boyfriend is 5'10. We're happy. He's not 6ft, but my height which is perfect for me. I don't mind dating a guy who is shorter. My boyfriend is a good man and if he's shorter, then he's shorter, that's it, no problem.
I still can't get over it, a short guy not posting a Women hate my height post? Whaaat?

There are a lot of majorly insecure guys on the Internet. Maybe they have always existed, but before the Internet you just didn't see them. Now they have an outlet.

On average, women have always had a preference for taller guys. But a preference is not the same as a deal breaker. Yes, being short might decreases chances, but there are so many women out there that a decreased chance still leaves more than enough potential women.

Guys blaming their height only means they are not making effort to find out what the real problem is. Because being short absolutely will not prevent a guy from getting a girl. Height is just a convenient way to blame something.

You are mistaken. All you need to do is browse women’s dating profiles for awhile to see. Lots of women are open about their need for their men to be taller than them. That’s obviously not as limiting as “6’2”” as you too specifically suggested, since the average woman in the US is 5’4”. There is also a fair bit of research that confirms the matter, actually. But you’d know that if you were really interested in facts, wouldn’t you? It’s not like state secrets. You also made a comparison to mens’ preferences, which of course we all have, but only men were shamed for ours until recently. Now that more men are speaking up, somehow it’s a problem? I'm pretty tall 6'5" and wide so dating to me is not an issue at all. Besides many girls hit on me and I say no sometimes maybe because of my height, looks personality I don't know.

But I also believe if you know how to spit game correctly, being that confident and charm, spraying that masculinity on you you will get girls. But it depends also on personal preferences but many girls like confident guys, so you will just be fine. Also put a good image of yourself, how you wear, how you smell, how you eat, how your body looks like? (You working out?) all this things can Add your scores if someone ain't tall, handsome Or other things.

Some girls do care. There was a mom of a high school friend of mine. She's tall, her husband is tall, and her sons are tall. She literally told me in the same statement that girls don't care about height and that it took her a long time to find a guy who was taller than her. I think the height thing comes from an illusion of the guys protecting the girl. So if the guy is bigger it enhances that illusion. Then you have people like me (and maybe you) who can actually protect the girl despite our height.

I think it is very blown out of proportion. I do think most women care about height to a certain extent but usually they just want them guys to be around their height or taller. The 6ft thing isn’t as much of a benchmark as it is made to be lol.
I’m really short and have been turned down a lot for it. Though, I have also met many women who didn’t care at all about it.

Only about 14.5 % of the US male population is above 6 ft, and that includes the men who are homosexual and already married. So obviously women can want a man who is above 6 ft but getting him is another matter. Secondly, women want men who are taller than them, not necessarily 6 ft tall.

height is definitely a preference to some women (and men, also) in theory, or when thinking about their 'ideal' partners, but when it comes down to it, if you meet a person that you are undoubtedly attracted to, I highly doubt height plays a role in that to most people.
