What are the best dating apps or other ways to find good dates?

I've been trying to get back into the dating scene, but most guys on the dating apps are... disappointing. Even after weeding out the "obviously no's", I've been rather saddened by the dates I DO take.

I'm doing school right now, but my upper level classes (and female dominated field) mean that most men I find are usually married or otherwise in a relationship. Which is fine, except for trying to find a partner.

I've tried clubbing and going to bars - definitely not my thing.

How do I find a good date?

So used Match, eHarmony, zoosk and Tinder.

I had 16 dates with 14 women in 4 months. Before meeting my current girlfriend of 8 months. So I hit it pretty hard and had some pretty bad dates. But I never got discouraged and remained persistent and dedicated to the process.

So I got like 9 dates from Match, 3 from Eharmony, 2 from Tinder, zero from Zoosk. But I am in a different demographic than you are being 45... but like Match the best. Tinder and Zoosk was a waste of time. I didn't like Eharmony but thsts actually is where I met my current girlfriend, so Eharmony was the winner I guess.

But Eharmony I am told and have read if more for the 40 plus crowed. Match is more for the 30 to 45 crowd. But Tinder is a hook up site... and I didn't care for the format of Zoosk... but Zoosk is more slanted in the favor of the women. Guys can't connect or chat with you unless you both select each other But some guys just go in there and like every women that pops up... but unless you like them back they can't chat you.

So I got no great suggestions for you, online dating is tough and got to really commit to it, and accept your going to have a lot of bad dates. Its just the process... but. after tge bad dates you'll know when a good one comes along.

It a lot harder for women, because there are like 3 to 1 more guys online... and so much is dependent on him, like him asking out and then him picking a restaurant or whatever.

I suggest you don't do dinner dates, suggest a walk in park, and out door activity, a concert, festival, out door market, street fair, car show any that get out from behind a table in a restaurant or coffee shop.

The Gods honest truth, best way I've found to get a date is to get the hell off the internet lol. You know how many people are real, especially dating sites? I mean legit, really themselves, maybe 3-4 out of 10, and I'm sure that's being generous. You really want a date? Go to school, age appropriate of course. Go to church, lol, it's safe there long as you are of age. Hit the clubs, grocery store whatever. When you see what you like just speak up. Or sit around catfishing your life away, sorry been got twice so I don't have much faith in what I see online

hinge has a good reputation of being more than a hookup dating app but I've never tried it myself. i do think its better to go on dates with guys you meet in person. maybe try telling your friends if they have someone decent they can set you up with? i haven't tried it but if you have good friends they'd try not to disappoint you.

Sometimes finding a good person like you needs a lot of work. people like this exist but are so few and even if are there is kinda hard to get them. Others are still in those stages of improving themselves. So maybe I can say you can meet a good guy who you're compatible with (soulmate) in some place as a surprise something you would never expect or think.

I don't know places to find good dates, but you should be out there meeting with people social events, sports arena, and maybe you can get one.

As for me I’m single & accepting applications & although I have tried dating sites the online dating shit wasn’t for me & with all honesty I prefer offline dating better.
As for me I always say if you want to meet people you have to get out & greet people. Go for a walk in a park , go to the beach, go to an amusement park or somewhere fun where there are a lot of people. As for me bars are yesterday’s news. As for me clubs are a thing of the past & with all honesty I rather meet someone at a supermarket vs at a drunken event.

Ok, we hear this a lot from women about the men on dating apps. Either it's they want sex and are blatantly up front about it, or they want sex and they're cover about it. I really wish I had a good answer for you, but it's been years since I was on the dating scene, and I don't really know what works these days.

Match. com worked for me but that was some years ago. A few years ago a colleague met his partner on Coffee Merts Bagel. I’ve also met couples that met on a Tinder.

You might try outdoor activity groups. Women in such groups get a lot of attention, and the men are usually nice and in shape, although they may be a bit introverted.

Maybe too only one guy and make sure the guy only likes you cause you finding open relationships is a big reason because loyalty too one person is how things last long because you can't really love too people equally exactly the same amount in a open relationship if I'm being honest

Try socializing somewhere where your hobby belongs such as art galleries, gym , yoga etc. My experience on these apps has been the worse, so i quite feel your emotions right now. Socializing is the only way. Its stupid to waste time on these dating apps

Now I wanna know that answer too. Online dating is (on the male side) definitely a bad idea. Never worked out for me. Clubbing is too loud and crowded for me. Have a hard time approaching girls in real life and online you hardly get replies (as a girl its much easier though)

Never date a men who isn’t single.. if you are gonna date a older men just be careful. I’d say don’t date anyone who’s to old unless you are willing to live alone when he’s dies. The most I would do is 5-8 years max I would do no more then 12 if the person was truly special. Try meeting a good guy at school or try pof don’t judge a guy basic off a first date you are very pretty so people get nervous.

Tinder, bumble and Plenty of Fish I found to have a mix of bits/fake accounts. Escort advertising accounts and people who want casual relationships or just put to much and also. some information that it is somewhat disturbing.

Try sites like it's just lunch, e harmony. The better pay sites. Most people there are serious about being in a relationship, but there will always be a few just looking to hook up.

Try talking to guys you meet everywhere, at a coffee shop, library, I think it's one of the problems with technology, your are not a robot, so the idea that a machine can find you love is not correct. Social groups might be worth joining.
