Why would someone still consider another as an acquaintance after telling them private things about their life?

I can tell a stranger some private things coz sometimes strangers can be trusted more than your family and friends. They can also give you an unbiased opinion

I think honestly I feel easier to open myself to strangers than to parents or friends.. since I know their opinion will be super partes.
I think if a stranger isn’t really my friend (we don’t see or we don’t speak often) he’ll be always an acquaintance, despite me being confidential.
