Trying to figure out what girl means by "I'll let you know"?

Well there is this girl that I really am attracted to, and am trying to pursue. I asked her out once, but she was going out of town so it wouldn't work. So when she came back and I saw her, I tried again. This time she says she is busy and that she will let me know. In my head I was thinking that, that was a No and I should move on. Then again I have been told that I give up too easily. Currently, I am thinking should I wait a few weeks and bring it up again? Not to mention if my current assessment seems correct.

I should also mention I had gotten her number prior to this and she answers me very sporadically, which to me says another thing. I just don't text her all the time, and only once in a while (even then she might not necessarily answer). Thanks for the advice in advance.

I was on the other side of this really recently. I told a guy that I’d let him know. Gave him a maybe. Mostly because I was nervous myself. Maybe I’d safe. Maybe isn’t overeager. The best advice I can give is this. Be a nice guy. Ask yourself what you want. Is this girl worth working with her? Waiting for her to get over her “maybe” for whatever reason she gave it? If she’s the kind of girl you see yourself maybe loving one day, give her time. Keep in touch. Show her you’re there. If not; if your just looking for a hookup, spare both of you the time. There will be others. So. What do you want when you think of her?

Then here’s what I suggest. Instead of texting her every once in a while. Maybe reach out a bit more regularly. Not enough to be clingy but enough that she knows you’re serious. My Maybe Guy responds very sporadically. It’s making me second guess him. If you want a future with her. You have to be a part of her present.

For your sake I hope I'm wrong, but if she hasn't contacted you within a few days then move on, and hope she sees you with someone else.
That will make her rethink you.
She will be going what does she see in you that she didn't.
Or she won't notice or care

And, it is likely that she has other interests. If nothing is going on then "She'll let you know." Best thing you can do is date... and not be available if she "lets you know!!!"
