genuine question, i ain't asking this passive aggressively. i was playing truth and dare with my brother and his friends and they decided to ask me this lmao. of course i said yes 😂 then they asked wouldn't i compare myself to her and im like — she's my girlfriend not my colleague.

anyways, what about you guys? even if you take away the hard diet and makeup, models are pretty solid.

I don't know- or rather, it depends. I mean, yes, they're usually very good-looking, which is a definite plus, but a lot of really good-looking women (probably really good-looking men, too, but I've never been able to judge that) are total airheads, and a relationship isn't going to work if you have nothing to talk about (you don't need massive KNOWLEDGE to date a nerd successfully, but at least some intelligence is required- and curiosity, too). Granted, it's very stupid to assume anyone who's pretty is stupid, but modeling is a job that (from my possibly-incorrect outside perspective) always seemed to be the kind of work that attracts people who are most comfortable with NOT thinking, and simply being directed around, more like a living prop than a person (I should probably talk to a few of them, see if I'm getting that wrong). The reputation that career line has (around the high end, at least) is that they're also VERY high maintenance, and I just can't see that ending well with someone as laid back as I am.

So with the right person I'd give it a shot (not that that's likely to happen, unless it's some kind of elaborate prank, or she gets fed up with being around gorgeous, shallow millionaire guys who never have a hair out of place and decides to try the exact opposite), but the smart money's on it not working out.

When I was in college I dated several women that I thought were absolutely beautiful. The trouble is so did the other guys. Guys would interfere with our date. They would approach her and talk to her completely ignoring me. And both these women loved the attention they were getting. It was too much for me and I stopped dating them. Besides everything was about them. They were one-sided relationships.

To answer your question, no I wouldn't date a model. It's just not worth it on different levels.

Hi, I am currently daiting a professional model of 10 years, as well as a pageant queen. Daiting models is really really tough. I don't know if I could do it again with someone else. There are a ton of girls who "model," but that doesn't mean they're a victoria secret angel... The models I've met and messed around with see being a "model" as their entire personality, and are very often not all that attractive.

I guess the first thing you think of is superlative beauty when you say model. I worked in a building which housed a model agency and the models were more like good looking average girls - not jaw dropping girls.

Good photographers, make up, clothes etc are going to portray a better image than in the flesh.

If I liked the girl why wouldn't I date her as I would any non-model girl.

I knew a girl who was at the time a small time model. I don't know if I would want to be with someone like her, because she kept asking if she looks beautiful.

The profession requires you to be beautiful, paired with the insecurity that women, depending on person, have... Yeah, no.

People are people, and sometimes you just see the mask they put on. The model I dated was a gym rat and took AGES getting ready. It's the two main reasons I left her.

I voted "not sure" because it would depend on the girl. If she has the type of personality I would normally date then yes. If not then no. Her extra good looks would only get her so far with me.

I've personally known 3 girls that were actual models. One I would absolutely NOT date, even though I was attracted to her; I didn't like her personality. One I actually did like a lot (but sadly I was in love with another girl at the time, so I ignored her.) The other one I thought was okay; I didn't have any strong feelings about her either way.

Usually models attract a lot of attention and they usually date rich guys. I'm not broke as a $2 hooker, but I don't have much. If a bunch of rich guys keep trying to date her, sooner or later she would ditch me for them. I'm old, fat, short, bald. I don't have all that money, movie star looks, and bullshit status to contribute to her public image. Even if I treated her like queen of the fucking universe, I don't think it would be enough to make such an image-conscious woman stick around.

Considering I was a model once myself too, yes of course! Because models at the end of the day are still people. The only difference is, if you are dating a well-known model be prepared to have a fairly big wallet at your disposal.
