Whats It Mean When A Guy Dates An Unattractive Woman?

So I've learned recently that men are super shallow when it comes to women. They prioritize looks. Apparently men are “visual” creatures. With that said, if a man gets into a relationship with an ugly woman, is it only because thats the best he could do? Like he might like your personality and everything but if a way more attractive woman wanted him, he’d most likely choose her over the less attractive one if she also had a great personality.

I wouldn't say this is a characteristic of just men. There are plenty of shallow women too. Attraction is still very important, but personally as long as I find a person even a little attractive they become a 10/10 if we have chemistry and common interests/values

I would when I was a teenager/early twenties, but that never really lead me to any real happiness. That's something I've grown to consider not to be as important anymore. Looks fade. What matters most is that you're actually compatible. When making a decision like that, the level of attractiveness is at the bottom of my list lol

I mean…yes? If you're still attracted to other people then you're either not in love or you’re poly.

Oh, honey.. you are adorable (x I'm not talking about wanting to be with or have sex with someone else, in that sense you're probably not in love. But your sense of what is and isn't attractive doesn't just shut off the second you get into a relationship. If you grew up with a crush on a celebrity, like Ryan Gosling or something, he's not going to suddenly become ugly because you've got a boyfriend... that just sounds a little naive to me.

I mean, these are hard truths that we all need to grapple with. Ya know? Same with penis size.

Not everything is equal and the world isn't fair. Some insecurity is certainly understandable, but we shouldn't allow it to paralyze us in fear.

The main point is you just need to understand that good people, when they make a commitment, will keep that commitment. You need to find someone with strong values. Obviously don't get into a relationship with a player or a cheater.
