Do Y’all Reply to Convo Enders (with boyfriend/girlfriend)?

My past boyfriend would get upset with my if I didn’t reply to his text (after we’d have a conversation and it seemed like it ended to me). Now I’m self conscious of this in my future relationships and the one I’m currently in.

EX:

*…conversation…*

me: for sure

me: ugh my texts are glitchin again
him: no worries love :*
me: (leaves on read)

so is it okay to just leave the message on read if it feels as though the convo ended? Guy I’m dating now is a lot more mature and less controlling. He hasn’t said anything about it but still makes me nervous that it’s impolite. I just don’t know how I’d reply to those sorts of things.

if i felt comfortable with them i usually never did. we’d never say goodnight or good morning it would be “see ya later bb” so we know we’d each be busy with something. then we’d resume the conversation with a little update bc we loved to gossip

honestly I would have left it on read too. because what in the world do you want me to say? lol.

I meet people where they meet me. maybe just send a kiss emoji back. other than that I don't believe you need to say anything else

It’s okay, do you what you feel best you can do and let him do what best he can do. End of the day you okay have to be okay with what you’re doing. Your life style and your way of communicating.
