I’ve gone on at least 5 dates with this guy and I’ve also known him at least a year before we started dating he seems super sweet and genuine and like I’ve said I’ve known him for a long time so I know how he is. He also hasn’t rushed to have sex he’s never even asked or talked about it before we’ve only kissed and held hands. The thing is I feel like I’m ready but I don't know if he is I don't know if I should wait longer or just go for it

Don't belive these people on number of dates to have sex. It's not the number it about self respect and when your ready. Having sex to hook the person is not a good way to start. If a guy can wait long for when your ready, then he is a keeper. If you make a choice to have sex on day 1 or day 40 it's ok. Don't be apart of society thay like to put numbers on dates, how many people you sleep with or on anything in life. Just be you and be happy.

Also, know what your looking for and the difference of: fb, friends with benefits, hookup or a relationship. Once you know what you want the gobfoe it and don't brag about it. Keep it to yourself as it is not anyone's business. If you choose to kiss and tell then your opening up the doors for drama and judgment. Leaving it as a mystery is way more interesting and worth working for then a number. Don't compare yourself to others nor judge people on who they sleep with or how many people they been with. Your with that person because you like being with them on who they are and how they treat with respect and so much more. So, stop putting a number on things and people and get rid of girl/guy code. Just be you and be happy with yourself. Don't worry about what other people thing of you. They don't pay your bills, they don't care if your happy, and you sure don't owe anyone an explanation

Depending on how quickly we bond, 3 to 5 days or dates. Then again I’m a little bit older and more mature so things aren’t quite so taboo. Once you establish that you and this person click, you enjoy each other’s company, and you plan to do it in the future, then why not enjoy the beauty of safe consensual intimate relations between adults?
