I asked a girl for her number and she gave me her social media, did I strike out?

I asked a girl for her number today and she sed she wasn't quick to respond and she sed it would be better to add or contact her through social media. I waited a few hours to send her a friend request on Facebook. I did because I thoght it wouldn't seem desperate if i added her to soon, but maybe that was the problem, I didn't add her soon enough. Maybe it came off as I didn't care. Also when she sed she's not quick to respond, that might be bs because everyone always has there phone on them. Leave your opinion down below please.

Nah. I just think sometimes people rather keep that stuff private and just give u something that literally anyone can see like socials. I kinda feel like the whole normal texting thing is dying

No doesn't have to be, most people don't feel comfortable giving out their numbers to strangers, she probably wants to get to know you first a little before giving out something so private
