He started dating another girl in the past month but he stares at me, watches me talk to other men, he teases me, flirts with me, the other night he grabbed my hand and began stroking/rubbing my hand in front of the girl he is dating (I’m not sure if she saw it). Also he claims not to remember this incident. So if he is “keeping his options open” should I do the same?

Unless you’d appreciate your partner flirting with and rubbing other womens hands in front of you then you shouldn’t entertain the idea of being with him at all. He’s a disrespectful jerk towards the girl he’s dating and he’s doing it with you so he’ll do it to you as well. And you can’t complain if you end up with him and he does this shit to you, vecause you knew exactly who he is and what he does and apparently you’re ok with it when he does it to others so you should be ok with him doing it to you as well.

I’d say it’s normal to keep your options open. Especially if everyone knows where they stand. He may not view either option to be one he wants to pursue exclusively. If you don’t like talking to a guy that is openly do it, just know most people who do wouldn’t have the decency to tell you anyways. If you don’t care to pursue him anymore that’s also totally normal as well
