Is a fake apology better than no apology at all?

So I called a guy out for ghosting me and he said Sorry I had a long day. well I kind of think that's BS when it said he was online all day with his status. But he did say sorry anyway. Most of the time a ghost stays a ghost. but he did say Sorry even if that's BS. is a fake apology better than none?

Yes, it is better than none. You basically asked for an apology, so he gave you one.

Try this next time: Say something that is so interesting, or enticing, or amusing, that he can't help but respond.

And then, if he doesn't (not right away, but give him some time), you've got your answer. He's not interested. Cut bait.

No. A fake apology is worse in my opinion. Just shows he can’t take accountability for his actions and just said “sorry” because he knows that is what you want to hear. You deserve better.

No it is worse as it demonstrates a deep-seeded inability to recognize one's actions as wrong. It often demonstrated the inability to feel for others' pain and joy. "I did nothing wrong etc..."
