The guy I'm seeing for 4 months, got me a valentines day present and flowers he said it's early cause he's working through valentines he also got my son a psn gift card as he loves his PlayStation, he said to him happy valentines in a joking way

He likely thought if he gave you something, your son might be a little jealous. I think the guy is just trying to be decent and maybe get on your good side and his.
