I've been IN LOVE with this guy since high school. He really is a great person. We started hooking up when I was about to be a senior in high school and he was going back to college. We always had an amazing time together, but I went to college in Florida and he was in the Northeast and he ended up working in the city while I was still in college. We'd see each other on holidays and random weekends over the years when we were in the same place. It's always a great time and we really connect, but then we don't talk for months at a time. It's horrible.
Now I am finally graduating and moving to the city in May and I'm ready to be with him. I was visiting this weekend and I saw him and we went out, had a drink and slept together. We had a great time (again) and I was trying to hint at it that I wanted to be with him when I move down here. He said that all of his friends know he sees me and he always introduces me to everyone. I told him not to get another girlfriend and to wait for me and he said he would. I also said that we needed to communicate more and we can't just not talk for another 3 months. He texted me yesterday afternoon saying he had a lot of fun and I said "see u in a few months:)" and he didn't answer. I just want to know how to know if this guy will seriously date me when I move close to him or if I should prepare to be let down. I feel like we've always had a great time spending time together over the years, but I wonder if he'd actually date me. I don't know how to find out. He's older than me so I'm not close with his friends and that's such a hard question to ask a guy without being desperate. What do I do?

Don’t know until you get there. If you overthink, you may take the fun out of it for him. Chill out and resist cause if he gets wind that you do not think he will honor his word then 👻 👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻👻
