Would you be mad at your boyfriend if this happened?

I work at a dealership as a mechanic and every Thursday my girlfriend brings me lunch and we eat together. Today i had to do a quick service on a car and then eat lunch. So my girlfriend was basically in my bay just waiting for me to finish. As i was working on this girls car she needed something out of it and i'm going to admit i did look at her a couple of times while she was getting something out of her, then she began to talk to me about her car and so i answered her questions.

My girlfriend does have a bit of a hot temper (used to this for the past 5 years) so as soon as this girl left, she raised her voice and told me "go ahead and eat lunch with your new girlfriend since you like what you see". I told her i only have eyes for her and i dont care for some random person, even if i did look. She said "you can eat lunch alone". We did end up eating together but she did not say a single word to me.

I wouldn’t be mad. It’s human nature to still look at other people you find good looking even when you’re in a relationship. Looking isn’t harmful it’s if you cross the line of flirting when it becomes a problem. I always say to my partner (when I’m in a relationship) that you can look but not touch haha. I've always wondered why people get mad at this, I don't know if it’s insecurity or a trust thing but I guess everyone’s views on a relationship is different. I just couldn’t do the whole keep em on a tight leash mentality.

Well I was not flirting. The girl who got something out of her car I don't think was flirting? She just kept making jokes about her car and asked some questions. She did ask me if I do work on the side and of its cheaper and I told her I do but technically can't take business from this place cause ill get fired. So she was like next time she needs something she'll walk in and ask for me because "money is tight". I just simply said "yeah money is tight for almost everyone I speak too". No flirting on anything
