Do you, a man typically look out for college-educated women or anything that is not dumb with a low IQ or anyone with a high IQ or something else?
This question is targeted at men that want/have a serious relationship/marriage.
After all, I do not think this question is relevant to men looking to hook up.
High IQ. A degree doesn't mean that someone is very intelligent. I have even worked with plenty of teachers that are quite stupid and illogical. And I have worked with a couple bus drivers and a maintenance person that was more intelligent than most teachers I have met.
A degree is a piece of paper that shows someone put in time and money, but it doesn't show how challenging or easy their classes were, or if they were awarded extra points on their scores for being part of a certain group.
For example, I have a BA in education just like my coworkers, but I passed the CSET and RICA tests on my first attempt easily, where as some others I know needed 3 to 5 attempts to pass those tests. Some of them still haven't figured out good classroom management strategies like I have, even though some of them have 10 to 20 more years of experience than I do.
While you may not like this answer a lot of men don’t care about a girl’s college or job. At the same time I don’t want a girl who is a complete milk dud either. But to men, women’s financial statuses don’t matter as much to us as they do to a lot of women. For one because we’re taught to be the men, that a man is responsible as far as taking care of his family. That is why men will date down even if he’s making a six figure income whereas women who are making money like that want a man who is making the same amount as them or more. But a lot of men don’t want women who demonstrate masculine qualities, like CEO’s, etc. I’d rather be w a girl who works at McDonald or something who is pretty than a girl who is a CEO. Her income doesn’t make her sexier.

I don't need a woman to be especially intelligent, but it's a plus - I just don't want one who is dumb and clueless. I need her to be able to hold a decent conversation, but she doesn't need to be able to do calculus or write a sonnet or give me a policial treatise.
Education is a completely separate thing.
Lots of "formal education" aka college has very little to do with actual education, and much more to do with teaching bad habits and indoctrinating people into far-left ideologies. That's not a positive, it's a negative. It's not AS bad in STEM fields, but it's still not great - but I'm more likely to respect someone with a STEM degree than a humanities degree.
Today, anyone with a smartphone or computer can educate themselves in just about anything they'd want to know - and they can do it at their own pace from actual experts in the field. College is far from being an exclusive source of advanced education.
Anyway, the other reality is that, unlike the opposite, a woman's education, degree, or career is of little value to a man, if for no other reason than simply because women don't share their resources with men the way that men do with women - and even when there is an exception, there is almost always resentment when they do. No matter how successful a woman is, she always expects her man to be more successful, and she always expects the man to pay the majority of the expenses. That's just how it is.
Men simply value very different things in a relationship than women value. This is why women who take on a man's role do not increase their value to a man - they usually decrease it, because it virtually always comes at the expense of the feminine things that men DO value.
High intelligence and a lot of education are pluses, but they are not the most important characteristics to me. The first thing I look at is willingness to have a family and be a good parent along with a good personality. Good money management skills are also crucial.
I've answered a similar question multiple times but here goes the cliff notes version: men are not looking for someone to provide for them, in fact studies and observations show that many if not most marriages where the woman makes more fail. Men are looking for youth, beauty, fertility, trait agreeableness, and loyalty. None of that requires a college education. It is not that men want women to be dumb, far from it. A smarter wife will never a much better conversation partner, share similar hobbies or pursuits, and be a more effective household manager. The issue is more mother nature and economics. A woman who saddles her husband with hundreds of thousands of dollars in student loan debt then takes 5 years off of work per kid during her narrow fertility window is bad debt because she isn't producing an income to satisfy creditors. She might even decide she prefers the title of mommy to manager, at which point the man is not only paying his loans but hers as well on one income, and having to navigate questions why he can't provide the lifestyle that she was promised in TV and movies for going to college. Even if she does eventually return to work, the multiple consecutive versions year absence from corporate life puts her at such a competitive disadvantage in terms of age vs relative experience in the field that she will NEVER achieve parity with childless female peers or men. Mother nature is a sexist b and there is nothing men could possibly do about so don't try to blame it on us.

Ultimately, it is better for her future family economically for women not to go to college BEFORE KIDS. I wouldn't dream of saying don't go at all. You can have it all, just not at the same time.
No. Intelligence is over-rated in a girl. Though as we have done for millennium we'll flatter and tell you want to hear to get into your pants. That now includes telling a girl how impressively smart she is despite the strong clustering around 100 IQ points.
There is a strong inclination for females to think male mate selection criteria is the same as female mate selection criteria. It just isn't.
In northern Europe, if your man couldn't plan and execute a plan for winter, then you would starve to death so a girl should have picked a smart capable man. Men on the other hand would value a girl that was diligent in weaving warm clothe, preserving food and economic with the food budget over winter.
While girls might value intelligent men who apply themselves evolutionary selection hasn't worked the same way with how men value girls.
I do like a girl to be interested in the world around her but interest doesn't correlate with IQ. Far more important to me is a collaborative nature and being loving and caring. A 'you, me and US' kinda girl. In fact the higher the intellectual obtainments the more I'd expect negative attributes of being disputatious with a 'me Me MEE' attitude.
You are right if we are hooking up then the select criteria is breast size and waist though for me it is waist first and smaller boobs.

No. Just because someone went to college doesn't mean they have a "high" education level, speaking as someone who has taught at the university-level for the past 6+ years. They admit some pretty stupid people because college is a business after all, and even stupid people have money (or at least their parents do).
Plus, having a college degree doesn't mean you're a good partner, it doesn't mean you're emotionally intelligent, it doesn't mean you're adaptable and have good soft skills, it doesn't mean you're financially responsible and it doesn't mean you'll get a good job that remotely justifies the amount you spent on that education.
There are many qualities that are more important to men in a partner than education level.
To men looking for a mate/wife, intelligence is always more attractive than the alternative, but education is not relevant. In fact, a high level of education can actually be a strike against a woman because it can be an indication of priorities that are not compatible with what most men of value actually want in a woman.
In a man, intelligence and education are indicators of competence and success, current and future. They indicate he will have the means to provide for and protect his mate and children, which ultimately is what drives female attraction.
Men on the other hand are not looking for a provider and protector. Men want a woman who will love and nurture their offspring and make them the center of her universe. Highly educated and career driven women do NOT make the best mothers and wives because their ambition, not their children and husband, is the driving force in their lives. Family oriented men have no use for a woman like that.
My wife only graduated high school when I met her, but I knew she was smart.
Now, she makes more money than me and is a Database Manager with a major firm that everyone in the USA knows. I knew she had it in her and just needed the support and belief in her that others did not before I met her. (When I met her she was a housewife doing a part-time job making minimum wage.)
All the women I have been with had university education. Even my highschool girlfriend went on to be a lawyer.
I would not even really say that that's a condition for me. Like many men, I can initially be attracted by a woman's face and figure alone, and by indications that she can be a loyal partner.
Still, we will usually not make a good connection if she is not educated. She is going to find me arrogant or boring sooner or later.
There always a chance that a woman cheated to get her diploma so I prefer high IQ, in general men care more about woman's looks and youth than about her education and money.

One shapes who you are the other what you can do. And while its of course always added spice in the bedroom to have someone teach you about the soon to ensue interaction of thermodynamics, I do prefer the versatility from a partner that can tag along and pick up on new and interesting ideas together.
Not that having an expertise is unattractive. It is very attractive. Not as much as a little mind wrestling though.
I would say it is a pro, but it could just be community college. But yeah, I would like someone I can have interesting convos with, and where I feel like she's open to and capable of learning new things. Curiosity is attractive.
On the other hand, few things are less attractive than someone who tries to hide their social/emotional insecurity by always having to remind everyone how smart they are.

Things like a college degree do not matter to me. I'd like someone with reasonable intelligence, but I don't care if she has a college education and that's not one of the requirements I have for a partner.
I've met bright and wise women who never got a degree and were fun to be around. I've also met women with a degree who were dumber than a rock, if that helps you understand. I'm not hypergamic like women are.
Education isn't everything or an indication that you're smart. As for IQ, who's going around asking women, "So tell me something about you? Like for instance what's your IQ?" Lol
I am more concerned with the personality, hard working, and just a good person.
I look at women being highly educated. Equal to or more so than myself. I like it when she wants to continue her education. My companion she is an alternative health care provider. She's constantly learning about new ways of helping people. There's when she enjoys doing is called the body energy code. Which is conducted with a series of muscle testing through kinesiology.
I used to be all about degrees. Then as a college freshman who was already making more than a degree was likely to make me, I dropped out and decided the overall course of her life was more important to me than whether or not she has a B. S. or a B. A., etc.
real smarts and intelligence is not made from a book or school its how you were raised as a kid and how you look at things and what you learn as you grow up ,, I know smart people that dont know how to cook or clean or look after kids or fix a car or do pluming street smarts and real world smarts and or iq is over rated if you ask me.. just be real and learn to be a good person someone will love you for it.
I. Q. level. And a high street smart quotient is even better. I'm not knocking education. I think education is important and I give respect to anyone who puts in effort to earn that. But let's be honest anyone can do it. It's just a measure of gumption more than anything, not actual intelligence. I've met plenty of people with degrees that were dumb as a box of rocks.

I would say neither as long as she isn't dumb. There isn't really any expectations when it comes to IQ or education.
If she was a college graduate it probably means that not only does she have at least average intelligence but also some ambition which is more important.

A person that has a high IQ needs to have a person with same or close to same IQ to have good communications.
