I think this is true in some ways but not overall. Yes we get approached more than guys get approached, yes we get rejected less than guys get rejected, on average.

However because the guys who approach us often have experience approaching girls, it can be hard to know if how they are presenting themselves is real or if it is some kind of act, or mask to appeal to us. It is common for guys to not know what to do on dates, like freeze up or say weird pre programmed things you can tell they rehearsed. It is common for guys we initially like to turn out to be seeing two or three other girls at the same time. Then once you are in a relationship, that does not always go well either, I have had three LTRs and I would say two of them were bad, one because the guy was boring and the other because the guy treated me like I was worthless.

I will say again that I agree with you as far as what it takes to get a first date, that is definitely easier for us on average. But that is the tip of the iceberg really. JMO!

I'm not so sure, its a different kind of hard. Men have a lack of supply that's for sure, for us its hard to get a girl interested and dating can be very harsh on us especially on stuff like dating apps. But women have the opposite problem, they get swarmed and most guys aren't in it for the right reasons. So for them its very hard to filter trough that and they end up rejecting guys they should not reject as a result feeding into the problem for us males.

So I think ultimately the biggest problem is just how toxic the dating culture itself is, its way to difficult to find partners that fit you. Imagine if every town had a dating bureau with free events where you could walk in, speed date only paying for the drinks or let people know what your looking for and get matches that way for a fee.

Or imagine a new kind of dating app that notified you who in your area matches with your interests and is currently open to being approached. No swiping, just real life meeting already knowing your somewhat compatible.

I think it would help find local matches a lot.

Women have it a little bit easier than men. Men are projecting our mate selecting process onto women when comparing who has it easier.
Girls can obtain many guys less attractive than them, but the thing is they DO NOT choose those less attractive guys (until hitting the wall). Just because we aren’t literally sorted into rooms does not mean we have a chance like the attractive guys standing around us and us around them. I don't agree. Women are constantly objectified. They're held to a much different, much higher standard by both men and women. They are sexualized from the minute their breasts start to show. They get judged on how they look and what they wear in ways that men will never get -- and that all relates to dating. The real issue is that a lot of guys didn't have good role models and never learned how to get women. They only know what they saw in movies/tv or heard in songs and 99% of that is bull. The other issue is that so what if women have an 'easy' time getting men. It depends what you mean by "easy". This question reminds me of when women on this site ask the question about how men react to compliments. Because most women don't get that women receive compliments, men do not.

Women KNOW that if the show interest in a man he'll likely show it back. He might still reject her so yes it's still a gamble. But men do not get attention like women, so most attention is always appreciated.

Women get to pick and choose so this is factored in to thier selection process. They can afford to choose only 10% of men as worthy. Guys knowing only 10% will even consider them have to be less picky. And guys generally therefore find 50% of women dateable.

So in a sense women do not have it on "easy" mode. But most of that is because she's simply CHOSEN the difficulty setting. Not been relegated to it.
