Am I being out of order?

My girlfriend of 2 years has a male "friend" who she used to sleep with on and off over different periods of her life. She was in a 14 year relationship with her ex and during this time her "friend" would always keep asking her for sex but she always said no. Towards the end of the relationship she did start sending nudes and sexting him. So cheated on her boyfriend. They then broke up and she started sleeping with this friend again. This friend then moved away.

I met her and we began dating. She told me about him and was honest. 4 months into our relationship he started messaging her. She told him she was with me and that she was happy. A few weeks later he text her and said he was in the area if she wanted a fuck. She said no obviously but I went mental and she defended him saying that's just what he's like. I told him to respect her and back off. So he did.

Now iv found that my girlfriend messaged him 3 weeks ago asking if was ok. She told me, I didn't go snooping. Iv told her that I expect her to delete his number and cut him off. Am I wrong?

It's not her fault he wants to sleep with her. She said no, has explained she has a boyfriend. She's being perfectly honest and forthright. If he gets annoying enough that she doesn't want to talk to him anymore, that should be up to her. You're trying to control someone who couldn't possibly be more transparent.

I never said its her fault and it's not controlling. She can do what she wants. I asked her what she would think if I was talking to a woman who wanted to sleep with me who I has had previously created with. She said she would hate it. So it's double standards. I'm asking the question because I feel bad about asking her to cut someone off.

She probably will think you’ve overreacted, but most people would agree that it’s not OK for her to maintain a friendship with a guy who wants to have sex with her while she’s dating someone else.
