Why would a man invite me on a date to his friend’s event?

I know I made you all tired with my questions and being clueless but I wondered and would like to hear your thoughts.

We decided to reschedule the party to another time as I was busy these weekends.

One of his friends is a main designer of one of the famous car brands and he’s got a presentation these days, the man I date invited me there with him, he said later on we’ll go to a dinner together.

I wonder why’d he invite me on a professional event of his friend and why’d he want to directly take me out in public to his social circle, isn’t it better he gets to know me better first?

We have been talking for 9 days and met each other once, because I was busy, he already offered me 3 times to meet but I was busy and he really wants to see me before he goes to a business trip.

I think that, to a certain extent, you're conflating some different details and things and thinking they impact the outcome (how long you've been dating, etc.). But I'll set that aside.

I think there's three things going on here.

First is what @AviatorTom said. And the guy wanting to show you off is a good thing. Also, doesn't matter how pretty you are as long as he thinks you are.

Second, it's often easier to invite someone to an event. That's in our minds (at least it is for me). It's less threatening in certain ways than "come to the park" because there is already built in structure to it. Defined beginning and ends.

Finally, and most important (you can forget everything else) -- he LIKES you. He WANTS to date you. Forget everything else and focus on that.

A few possibilities:

- He likes you.

- He thinks you might have fun at the event.

- It's a safe, non-threatening environment. It's also upscale, impressive and out of the ordinary, unlike a park or restaurant. He hopes the exciting opportunity will entice you to go because he has been trying to get you to go on second date for a while.

- He thinks you might be impressed by his classy friends/connections.

- He doesn't want to attend alone and you are his number one choice for a partner because he thinks you are beautiful, classy, will comport yourself well and impress the other attendees.

Sounds like he's trying to make time for you around your schedule and likes you enough to bring you to his social circle of friends. You're overcomplicating things lol. Have fun and see where it goes.

Also, the best way to know what a man is thinking is to ask that man himself. It might be more difficult to figure out when you're reading dozens of different opinions that all could be right. That's gotta be making it more confusing. Since it's early on in the relationship the more you communicate now the better you will see if he's a good fit for you.

Assuming that he knows you well enough to know you won't be an embarrassment, what better place to take you to? That way he can attend the event and STILL learn about you, and as @AviatorTom said, show you off to the crowd.

But deep down I am quite shy and socially a bit awkward, but I hide it well when I am expected to act classy, confident and socially aware.

Plus, I wonder, does he want to show me off cause I am much younger? Because I’d hope he likes me for my personality.

Looks open a lot of doors but personality gets you the invitation inside. I'm sure it's a mixture of both.
