Technically you could argue that, especially in cases like the one with the girl you posted. It looks like she has some kind of acne on her chin, or maybe an STD or something, I don't know. I do think when women cake up to cover up things like that that is a type of catfishing you could say. But in general women wearing makeup is not an issue for me as long as it isn't heavy with chola looking eyebrows, or fake caterpillar eyebrows, heavy lipstick, extreme eyelashes, and foundation that looks like frosting.
Make up? No. It's a way of differentiating themselves from men as much as possible and looking feminine. I love it when they shave their legs and body hair. I'm flattered when they take the effort to make their hair look pretty and wear tasteful make up in order to look their best for me.
Makeup that looks fake can be rather hideous. But there is nothing wrong with the right amount of makeup that evens out skin tones, accentuates eyes and lips, and makes her glow.
What I don't care for are body modifications like fake boobs, BBL, and plumped lips.
Is it catfishing when a guy has facial hair that hides his acne and weak chin?
And the idea that women demand naturally perfect-looking men is laughable.
Facial hair is natural, unlike makeup. Makeup like now didn't exist past few centuries. Men were still hooked. Now, you will get attracted to girls who will look very different in reality.
If you can’t tell that someone is wearing makeup in most cases you should probably get your eyes checked as majority of the time it is obvious lol. On a different note I don’t think men and women are fair comparisons with appearances since women will typically go for other attributes over how hot the guy is where men are more likely to go for the hottest girl. If you’re less pretty you can accentuate your features that are good vs what is ‘bad’, and generally it doesn’t change your appearance that drastically
Many girls wear makeup all the time at the beginning of a relationship, once the guy gets hooked up they start to show real faces. Isn't that manipulation? With real faces at least you would have gotten someone who's attracted to the real you.
When they’re literally putting too much fake stuff on their face and body, yes it’s cat fishing. False lashes, fake nails, fake hair, bra and butt pads, etc. when you take them all off when you’re getting down dirty? Who are you? 🤣

Are clothes a form of catfishing for men? Clothes hide the imperfections, skin lesions, scars, etc. and men want to look their best for women.
No. It’s just taking care of yourself. Imagine if you didn’t shower, shave, put deodorant, brush your teeth, use cologne, etc. like… ever….. Are you catfishing? Got your haircut. I coild
go on.
I feel like if it's obvious she does then you know she looks different, I am usually taken by her in many ways and look past most 'imperfection' at that point. If I've been drawn in already then I am more curious of her character.
In a way it's not more catfishing than if a man if faking his confidence and is full of shit, buffing himself up and seeming to have more reasources than he don't.
Most people are playing at some game trying to hide something that they're insecure about, internal or external.
Very few come as they are and even then people don't see them as they are.
No... Makeup looks best in photos and good lighting. When you're up close with a person you can see the imperfections, and you can see it's make-up.
Also why the fuck do you care? What is wrong with people having imperfections and wanting to hide them? You know that eyelids aren't glittery naturally, right?
You know when someone is wearing makeup, you aren't being tricked 😭

No it's not, because you know that they are wearing makeup and you ideally have common sense to know that skin doesn't look like that. It's not like it changes the shape of your face or any of your features that drastically. You. Can. Tell.
The tricks people use with makeup to change appearances drastically ONLY work for photos.
Big difference! I'd ask the girl on the right out but probably not the girl on the left. I found myself looking at the RHS girl's cleavage more as well though I am pretty sure it is the same bra in both pics. I think she might have applied some blush to enhance her cleavage. If I am technically incorrect that girls use blush to enhance their bust please tell me.
I think you have a point that it sort of is cat fishing. The RHS girl is stuning. Big baby doll eyes. Perfect smooth skin. You would get a shock when she turned into the LHS girl.
I have known a couple of girls who didn't let their husband see her without makeup. One would get up before he did so her make up was perfect at breakfast. Funny.
The right version is not how makeup looks in person though, her skin does not exist. This is not makeup at play, but photoshop. No one looks like that IRL, yes makeup can exentuate and cover features, but the second picture is extremeeeeeeely photoshopped, which is what is causing such perfect appearance. IRL Makeup is very detectable and you cannot photoshop it.
She probably wouldn`t have that much acne, or acne at all without putting that much makeup on. If you have all your pores literally sealed, then it is no wonder that you get acne from it. Women kind of make their natural skin way worse by using makeup, then use even more makeup so you don`t see the worse state of their skin, which then continues to make their skin worse. I also don`t find a ton of makeup attractive on women in general. Some lipstick, maybe some eyeliner sure, but when she starts doing her makeup like she is trying to putty a wall, then it is kind of a turn off.
Somewhat.. some women look gorgeous but without it they look like dogs..
I think that is BS and they be posting pics saying "I'm a 10 so you better treat me like a princess".. its like bitch no you ain't, not when you wake up you a 3 lol
Other women are pretty and just accentuate their look.. so it just depends on the woman and only commit if you seen her without LOL
I don't wear makeup besides mascara so if you don't like my face as is.. you never will.. LOL
Dogs? Dogs are cute. Just say ugly
@Bobbybopeep Not all dogs are cute..
Look at Pugs, Bulldogs and Bull Terriers.. little better version but still not cute Pitbulls or Great danes... lol I hate dogs so dog is a good choice of word..
It can be, but the women in the example picture I wouldn’t consider catfishing. Her skin would probably be clearer if she wasn’t wearing so much makeup anyway, but she had an attractive face overall. There are some fairly unattractive women who can make themselves look like supermodels which does kind of weird me out. Not saying they shouldn’t be allowed to make themselves look more attractive. Just shouldn’t be intentionally trying to trick guys.
On rare occasions sure but for the average women no and it also doesn’t hide texture. Filters are more of an issue. I also don’t agree with the men needing to be “perfect” looking their beauty standards are far lower than women’s
It does, one guy I liked a lot said something about me wearing makeup. And I stopped forever.
My own skin started to get way better after I quit makeup. Now I don’t even need it. People say I look 18 when I’m 25.
Women are screwing themselves over with makeup. The only makeup IF EVER I use is just eyeliner or some eyebrows liner.
If anything I think men even should use Brow Liners. Thick Dark eyebrows suggests GOOD HEALTH. And HIGH TESTOSTERONE in men.
No, because in person, makeup is very obvious, even after years of doing makeup, it's still detectable, and you'll always see her without makeup one day.
Also the second picture is HEAVILY photoshopped, a lot more is to play here than makeup, you can't see her skin, she looks non human. This isn't a good image to go off.

Here is a better image to illustrate my point.
The image is just a random Google pic, establishing the point was primary. Many girls wear makeup all the time at the beginning of a relationship, once the guy gets hooked up they start to show real faces. Isn't that manipulation? With real faces at least you would have gotten someone who's attracted to the real you.
If you think that women naturally have glittery eyelids and sparkly cheekbones then you’re just one dumb mf.
🤣🤣🤣
😮 You mean the DON'T?
There IS no God! 😪
I don't know what is like for girls but you don't understand how it affects guys. It's not about knowing it's makeup. It's about what it does to the guys body. The subconscious doesn't know the difference between real and fake. Imagination and reality. The subconscious is controlling 96%+ of our behavior, thinking, and results in life... That makeup is literally doing more than you think it is. Meth heads know meth is bad for them but why do you think they still do it? Why do so many people do dumb stuff and break a million and one promises to themselves? The subconscious. It's not about what you know. It's about what you feel. Your comment is ignorant. @KatherineJ @p-rnytail @butterly248 @Rei13 @tiajoka And all the people who liked it are ignorant on the matter too.
And I'm not against makeup. It benefits me.
It’s really not that deep. It’s common sense. Use it.
@KingOfMe1 not for me. I'm a transvestigator as @boobslayer would confirm, bot just any transvestigator but one that had a "PT" badge on my profile half a year ago, kind of like how moderators and admins have an "a" badge. I had pt which stands for Paranoid Transvestigator.
Anyway, for me, excessive makeup is worrisome because that's what trannies do.
As you mentioned the subconscious, clear skin = healthy = fertile = fuckable.
However, tranny = infertile = unfuckable.
As @d_bonez_nutt put it on her main account, he sees it like they're trying too hard. Which is a turn off.
For me, female shape = turn on, male shape = turn off. Makeup also = turn off because it blurs the two, makes them trickier to tell apart.
So I trained my subconscious to be different.
Speaking of subconscious entertainment, have you tried this self-hypnosis guided meditation video?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dG5cZzbKvW0
I have never said that. From your response, it seems fit into catfishing description.
It can be, but isn't always. Just depends on how much you put on and how skilled you are at putting it on. Most girls aren't skilled enough to fool anyone with more than 2 brain cells and decent eyesight.
Yup.. thats why I never wear it.. but that can't be good for people's eyes either😅🫢
Damn.
Maybe she needs to showcase BOTH of her maked up/ un-maked up self to her partner before things can go further, as that's the start of a good, honest relationship anyway.
Many girls wear makeup all the time at the beginning of a relationship, once the guy gets hooked up they start to show real faces. Isn't that manipulation? With real faces at least you would have gotten someone who's attracted to the real you.
No, that's just looking pretty. Catfishing is way more different
Not really.. it’s very obvious when someone is wearing makeup. I suppose it’s only catfishing if you’re very gullible.
wearing excessive makeup or other face accessories regularly can damage the skin over time. if not removed and the skin cared for properly on a regular bases.
thise who ise filters to hide their lines and wrinkles thise are the real catfishers
Maybe in some extreme cases but people know when women are wearing makeup for the most part so it's not really deceiving anyone.
Yes it is actually.
The only makeup I wear is lipstick. So I look the same with or without it.
If you have good skin it doesn’t make much of a difference than slightly enhance your natural features but if you have bad skin then it can make a big difference
Not all women are asking for naturally perfect looking men. Make-up has been around for thousands of years. Just find a partner that makes you happy.
Never on this massive scale as now. Now everything can be fake.
I never understood this feeling until I saw guys get hair transplants and stuff. It was shocking at first and felt dishonest but overtime I got desensitized by it. So yes. But honestly, I’d still date
Surgery is a different topic, women too get many surgeries, botox, fillers.
Not just that. There’s hair wigs for guys too now. That stick on for about a week or so
For my sister, it was an A grade in college. People thought she was a catfish because she posted pictures from class. She looked different because it was a makeup (for stage) class.
Yes. Women should accept their ugliness and not trick innocent men into believing they are hot. It’s not my fault these bitches are ugly. I’m beautiful and I don’t need makeup, but guys claim I am fake because so many girls are.
If you think women naturally have sparkly lids that’s your fault
ah nuts :P
Aren't there many other forms besides sparkly eyelids? Foundations hide all spots, blemishes, and uneven skin tones, if I am not wrong.
Oh no. You mean people have skin texture?
Only if you’re doing it to look unrecognizable.
I call it false advertising just like when women wear push up bras etc. so your making yourself someone that your not.
When it's a severe change, it's the same thing. If there's little resemblance between the girl with makeup and the girl without makeup, you're buying an illusion.
To cover acne or abrasions? No, as those are temporary things that will heal on their own. But if its used to make her look very different, its false advertising.
Actually the photo without make up looks quite natural and pretty. I prefer it over the other.
The second pic is a filter. But if I went on a tinder date thinking I was going to see the second pic, then seeing the first pic would be quite shocking
I think the women would be fine with makeup wearing men
Most women aren't fine with that.
It's only catfishing if it's a fat man who puts on orange makeup.
Lol little booty would say this
Are beards catfishing? Beards hide imperfections, acne, spots, and change the shape of his face.
they are natural
That looks more like photoshop than anything to do with make-up.
yes. those imperfections and blemishes show a part of their genetics which we guys slso look at (subconciously thinking of future offspring too)
Technically she's still cute even with the acne. And I'm sure the acne can be cleared.
It's depends on that one. Yeah diet, hormones, skin care routine etc. All that can help but some people have really nad acne due to genetics.
@butterfly248 Even if they're genetically predisposed, they can make adaptations.
I just said what they could do lol
Lol. I know.
I think it can be overdone when a girl looks air brushed, but not necessarily.
Yeah, technically. So are boob jobs, and anything else done to the body, to "alter" it
I dont think too much make up will make anyone look good
If a guy can't tell that the right is not her unaltered face then he's pretty lame.
Yeah, but very mild form of it. I mean if you can't tell a woman is wearing makeup and feel "tricked" by it then you probably shouldn't be dating.
Not necessarily. I think it’s only catfishing when u try to change ur features using makeup. I think it should be used to just enhance ur natural beauty.
there's a reason guys like to see no make up. With that stuff you can make a 60 year old look 25.
Only if they do their makeup very cakey, it can make them look so fake. Even other females would feel disgusted when they see one
that's trend now
Trend among whores?
Big time. If you see some of the before/after videos of girls with makeup, they are shocking.
Not really that woman is pretty in both scenarios
to an extent yes. It depends how much you put on.
It's kind of false advertising. But so is having a beard. I look goofy without my beard.
Hair is natural...
same idea
I'm not really worried that much about her face anyway. Does she have nice teeth, clean hair, is overall a healthy person who takes care of herself? That's more important to me.
You are entitled to your dislikes, but this is a losing battle, as people are going to wear what they want to wear.
I don't know too many girls who wear a crazy amount of makeup. Most of the time I'm not going to notice or think about.
I think it depends on the makeup. Some makeup enhances their features while others go above and beyond to change everything lol
It definitely can be if too much is added.
I think of it more as a bait and switch scam.
Makeup is just makeup. It’s not that serious 🙄
Then it's not that serious if we call it catfishing.
Then kill anyone who just simply don't like make ups. We are doing anything about it. We're more likely to not choose anyone who wears make up every time. But y'all gonna whine and just call us shallow? Take your own advice. "It's not that serious"
Sometimes not always..
Wearing pushup bras sure is
No it’s nothing like that. Only if it’s off putting.
Facial hair does the same thing for men. Lol
I do not see it as a problem.
I have always called it war paint, lol.
