Boyfriend (25) doesn’t like me (23) talking about our hopes and dreams with friends?

So I recently caught up with some old friends of mine and started talking about my relationship with my boyfriend of 4 years. We’re doing really great and have been envisioning a life together (ie: creating baby name lists, looking at houses, and conversing about how wonderful our lives would be together). I told him all about our convo and how thrilled they are about our dream together. Obviously it’s not set in stone and it’s just an idea, but once I told him that he got very defensive. Saying that I shouldn’t be conversing with friends in this way because he’s afraid of broken promises/ not all relationships last. I’m aware that 4 years is a relatively short time but I’m worried he’s having second thoughts. We never fight and live together so harmoniously that it’s basically a Disney movie (I know it’s crazy but true). We’re literally two peas in a pod and I can’t see anyone but him in my future. What should I do? Is he having second thoughts? Or is this self defense for if (I hope not) we ever break up?
