Is this a red flag?

+1 yI know guys that will spend over 16 years sifting through their options before choosing a wife and getting married, and 26 years if you count the time before they began looking for life long wife to live with. I would not view somebody as a player for not committing after one date. There are plenty of abusers that look normal during the first few dates so he might not trust that easily.

+1 yTo begin with, have you even been dating him long enough to know if he is worth you locking him down?
He is keeping his options open just as you should.
It isn’t until the two of you have dated long enough for you to bring up exclusivity. The reason I say you, and not him is, as you can see he is still dating other women.
You will really need to bring your “A Game” for however long you intend on dating him if you want to distract him from all the others.
I would think it would be rewarding for you to know you beat out all of his other options.20 Reply
2.4K opinions shared on Dating topic. I was on eharmony and I would still be active until things got serious and then went inactive.
You don't know after 1 date.
But depending on what type of site it was can make a difference too.
Is it a hook up site just used to get laid, or is it a true dating site.10 Reply
Anonymous(36-45)+1 yIf you went on less than 5 dates and/or have made nothing official, have declared no official exclusivity to one another, he's free to do whatever as are you. He nor you are locked in yet. A lot of people on dating apps, date multiple people because it's all just having fun until someone clicks and it becomes serious enough to end the app and just start in earnest a relationship. If it bothers you, speak up and let him know your feelings because otherwise, you can't just assume you guys are serious.

u +1 yDo you expect him to go inactive on dating sites after your first date? Did you two talk about dating monogamously and exclusively?

+1 yNothing wrong with dating more than one person to see who is the right fit for you.

+1 yHmmm here's the hypocrisy of your crying.
YOU were ALSO on the dating app last night otherwise you'd not know he was on. So what is it? In your mind it is OK for YOU to "play the field" but he has to sit & desperately wait for your attention and never ever try his luck with other women?
Too bad that's not how life works.
10 ReplyI wouldn't call this a red flag. He's not taken at this time. Right now he is still single and he's actively looking for somebody. You two haven't made anything official so it's normal to have him be on there still.
It becomes a red flag if he's active on dating apps after you're together.
10 Reply655 opinions shared on Dating topic. As everyone else is saying, you both were. Assuming his intentions are worse than your own is a little unfair.
But its a very mildly negative sign. Nothing very important. You'll kmow how it went whem you both talk next. You can start that.20 Reply
Anonymous(30-35)+1 yThis is just the modern version of what our grandparents did. Here’s how it worked, you go out on dates with different people to see who you’re compatible with (dating). And then you decide who you commit to (going steady). You guys aren’t committed to each other. You’re both free to go on dates with other people.

+1 yIf you guys just met and are just dating that doesn't mean anything. You're not yet serious. Afterall you were also using the dating app last night otherwise how would you know he was using it.
40 Replyif he's using the app on your date then yeah. If you just found out he is using one in general then it is up to you how to take that. If you aren't exclusive you can't be surprised he may be checking his options.

+1 yWait so we're you. Maybe he was checking what you were doing too

+1 yIf it was your first date he has not done anything wrong. Honestly you can't expect him to close all his dating accounts just because he got one date. What if it doesn't go well? Have you closed all your dating accounts?

+1 yYou're being the red flag right now. You went on one date.
10 Reply If you two aren’t exclusive, he’s probably still exploring his options. If you wish to be exclusive, it’d be a good idea to tell him.

+1 yOne date does not mean you have an exclusive relationship. It's not exclusive until it's either a. you each agree its exclusive or b. you have sex.

+1 yIt's none of your business what he's doing and you harrassing him is inappropriate. If the shoe were on the other foot women would cry stalking and call the police. He's owes you nothing. He's still looking because he's not interested in you.

+1 yYou've had one date? There's no commitment there. Even if he likes you it's too early to expect exclusivity
02 Reply- +1 y
also exclusive is meeting only one, at a time but finding a date is fine, if he finds he can swap partners

Right cause if a man did this to a woman she'd call him a stalker smh

Also, as others pointed out, you had to have been on the site yourself to know.
Girl, you just went on a date with him once. How you expect him to not be there anymore? you barely know him
