Does he like me after our first date?

There’s this guy from my local supermarket that I went on a date with. The date went really well, we basically talked the whole time, laughed quite a lot & made good eye contact. At the end of the date he mentioned that it was fun, brought up a second date & asked for my number.

Afterwards he also texted me saying it was a lot of fun. We continued texting but not too much. He’s sometimes really slow & sometimes really fast to reply. Also, he didn’t bring up the second date anymore over text. But then I heard via a friend of mine that he told one of his friends he really liked our date.

This makes me wonder does he like me yes/no?
