I have a vivid memory of a conversation about whether a height of 6'1" (185 cm in feet) is considered tall for a guy. It's a topic that sparked a lot of discussion. From what I recall, opinions varied. Some friends thought it was above average, especially considering the global average height for men, which is generally shorter. Others argued that it was tall but not exceptionally so, especially in certain regions where taller heights are more common. Ultimately, the perception of height can be subjective, influenced by cultural norms and personal preferences, making it a topic with no definitive answer. But what do you think about it?
Certainly, a man who stands at 185 cm (6 feet 1 inch) can be considered tall in most contexts. Height perception can vary depending on geographical, cultural, and personal factors, but this height is generally above the average for adult men in many parts of the world.
In the United States, for example, the average height for adult men is around 175.3 cm (about 5 feet 9 inches). So, a man who is 185 cm tall would typically stand significantly taller than the average American male.
However, it's important to remember that height is just one aspect of a person's physical appearance, and it doesn't define their worth or capabilities. People come in all shapes and sizes, and what matters most is a person's character, skills, and contributions to society rather than their height.

I would not say it is tall enough that the first word I would use to describe him is "tall" but, it is above average height, if somebody asked if he was short or tall, I would prob. say "kind of tall" or something like that. JMO!
It depends where you are.
I'm 6 ft 2. In some places, like the Netherlands, I felt exactly average height.
In some places, like when I visited the Phillipines, I felt like a giant.
I'm the tallest one in my family, as most people are 5 ft 6 or 5 ft 7, so I always got used to it.
In the US, 6 ft 2 is taller than most, but it's not so tall that you feel like an oddity. And it really depends on the state. I have noticed people in farming areas tend to be taller.
No. But I'm 6'5" so anything shorter than me seems not very tall. But statitistics say only 14.5% of men are over 6 feet. If you're under 6 feet it probably feels like everyone is.
I guess what I'm getting at is it's all about perspective. But your perspective doesn't make it accurate.

That's slightly above average, and some people would consider that to be tall. Others would think average.
I look for intelligence more than height, a 5”7 guy who studies STEM is cuter to me than a 6”4 guy who studies fitness and athletics.

Well, it’s above average height, but not extremely tall , it really depends on the person who is looking at them and how tall they are
A little above average, but not exceptionally tall; within the "norm".
