Why do so many 30+ women rant about men not wanting them when they are also part of the problem creating that?

While younger, women date certain types of men only (bad boys) and ignore the rest. After thirty they get a sudden epiphany that they are more mature, intelligent, and independent now and expect to date more responsible men. However those types of men got rejected throughout their younger lives, why should they date those same women who rejected them in the first place and now don't actually even like them but wanna settle with someone responsible?

Men or women, actions including past ones have consequences. This can also be applied to men with the same mentality. Now you can claim people can change. Okay, that's good for you personally but it doesn't mean that your dating value to others will increase.

In very broad strokes you may have a point. Seriously. Its not an unheard of phenomena even if you are colouring it. Reality is women, and to some extent us men, do mature and change what we value. Its not settling. I'd rather have a new car than candy today. 5 year old me? Not so much. Values change.

In real life when you are with someone? This notion of settling just is not how it feels. Absolutely not at 30. At 40-50? Maybe but maybe not. At 30 its still first real family territory.

But I get your point of view. I think the viral explanation is the candy store analogy. Which in short is that most women at 18 get to into the candy store. Eat any candy they want free of charge and the vast majority of guys get told no at the entrance. At maybe 25, 30, 35 or so some guys who work on themselves then get a nod and are allowed to go into the candy store. And so you have this guy, 30, who just got access to the candy store and is all about it whereas women at 30 will often deem it immature because they possibly spent 12 years in there already. Its a good enough analogy and generally close to reality.

But the thing is. They had 12 years in that store. The things you're all about they outgrew years ago. You will seem immature to many women even if all it is is that you want to sleep around and live out some fantasies with someone pretty and not much else. Because again, they already had a decade to make that choice. Old news. Like an adult playing with legos. Not that legos aren't awesome, and sex too to some extent, but there are expected phases of life. At 30-ish they just happen to have friction.

I maintain that one of the key things is what phase you are in more so than age. So two uni studenys are much more likely to hit it off than two one uni student and a working person, so on.

This is just an extension of that. The people may match. Might not. Really though its their phase of life that doesn't match. And this all might help a tad with explaining why men are often the older ones in relationships. Some of our pre-commitment experiences are delayed.
