I’m always nervous about the early dating stages when you have both said you like each other or there and there abouts … you know there is something there but then I get nervous initiating sending s text asking if we could chat on the phone (that’s just sh example) what’s a guys perspective on this…
it’s just I hate waiting so if I send a message then it’s read but doesn’t get s reply for s couple of hours I panic so prefer not to instigate if thst makes sense …
Guys aren't mind readers. What you hold in your head stays in your head.

Those are the individuals you want to notice you, as those are the ones who will appreciate you as you are. Don't waste your time attempting to impress those who wouldn't be impressed by your true assets. You can put on a mask to attract those who wouldn't normally be attracted, but can you see yourself wearing that mask for the rest of your life?
The best way to be noticed for who you are is to focus on group activities. Let people see you in action rather than focus on connecting with a specific person. Volunteer or get involved with an organization that promotes an interest of yours. Take on a role of responsibility.
There's nothing wrong with taking the initiative. Guys like being noticed for things they say or do (not necessarily for how they look). Comment on what you notice, and share how it impacted you. Ask for help, if you feel the person has qualifications in that area. In other words, show him you feel he has something of value to offer. Just don't come on too strong. It's fine to plant a seed and nurture it, but don't be impatient and pull the seedling out of the ground, in an attempt to get it to grow faster.
You can also offer assistance, but not in a way that appears competitive or implying you're better than him. You can say, "I struggled with that at first, also, but I discovered a simple shortcut that made the process easier." You can be a sounding board by saying "What would you like the outcome to be? What options might be helpful? What do you see as the pros and cons of the options? Which one makes most sense to you? I'm curious to know how it turns out. Keep me informed." In other words, you don't need to be passive, but don't crush him with a steamroller. Show interest, or he may assume you're not interested.
It depends. Some men are shy or more nervous than you, so there’s no harm in taking the lead yourself. The worst thing that could happen is he says he’s not interested in you anymore. Come on babe! I think you should give more signs, especially in the world we live in today men are worried that any small move they make might make you uncomfortable and lose interest, they are always on thin ice. It is more likely that you will find something uncomfortable than he will in you. I don't think you should initiate as that is the man's role but dont be afraid to give him a nudge here and there showing him that its okay with you.
If you're not showing any initiative in the relationship then I'm going to replace you with someone who will. Otherwise, it just seems to one-sided.
Also, as one who can't have a phone at work in some places, sometimes I just don't have time to respond to your message because I'm very busy.
A couple of hours? Go find something to do. If you're worried about my response time you have too much free time.

This whole courting dance is driven by the guy getting erections over you. Just as a guy is the gate keeper of marriage, it is his erections that determine if the early stages of dating progresses to a relationship.
