Does every attractive man have hoe? Should I go for ugly guys so I don’t have competition?

I “settled” for my last boyfriend, he said it other people said it and I knew it. I didn’t mind it until we broke up realizing I had given months of my time to a guy I didn’t even fully find attractive only medium or cute on a good day.

If I have my name attached to a man or have to give my time and need up breaking up with someone I want them to be attractive next time. Especially considering the best men I’ve ever talking to have been super attractive guys somehow it also connects to them having a cool personality (most likely because i go for more alternative style men so you can’t really have 1 without the other) but they’re always surrounded by women because w they’re good people and attractive at the same time.

Problem is most attractive men have hoes, or at least I think. Do most attractive men have hoes or lots of women chasing them? I feel I have the looks and personality to compete but I just don’t want to feel like I’m in a race for a person especially since they wouldn’t be in a race for me.

Should I continue to go for less attractive men to avoid competition or aim higher so if it needs up being a mistake at least it’s a mistake I’m proud of.

No. Many respectable attractive men remain single by choice until they find their ideal partner. If the goal is to be chosen, you have to put yourself into the running. Look at Henry Cavil, he's been single for periods of his life, but he always sought relationships.

I don't know what your specific criteria is for "attractive men", but I receive gestures of interest from attractive women often, but the only one that's captured my attention has put herself in my orbit and mirrored me every time I've seen her. Perhaps it's due to my age, perhaps it due to self-improvement, but only now the attention is pouring in. My ideal of one, untainted, wife-tier partner will always be what I select for. If you've slept around, especially with guys you didn't like, you're not for me.

It also sounds like you have an ego problem. Yeah yeah, I have the 6 pack and gold hair, but I don't think I'm above women I don't fancy, I just don't take interest in them. Ugly personalities are uglier than unattractive faces, especially when filtering for long-term.

That's why you find a partner willing to help you through the hard times and get you out of a dark place. My boyfriend helped me get out of a very dark place. I discovered I had schizophrenia and wanted to kill myself but he helped me get through it. I believe with the right partner the mind and soul can be mended or kept from being broken. By reading your post, it looks like you want something more serious than what most people your age are looking for. And you're right most attractive men have a ton of options when it comes to women.

I don't have any suggestions for you as I'm not at that part of my life yet. But here are my thoughts.

If you really want something serious, have you looked at older men? I'm not talking about 40s+ but someone like their 30s or late 20s?

If you want someone your age, you're going to have to look at men who are doing stuff with their life and figure out how you can take some of the burden and make it easier for them. That will make you stand out from the plethora of options a man might have. You just tell him you want it to be 100% exclusive.

I’m 18 so for my generation we have talking stages. It’s basically obligatory before being in a real relationship. In a talking stage you can be near committed and loyal to someone but still not be dating. So my fear is he has a serious talking stage and he’ll entertain me knowing he’s going to choose her. Or we could be in a talking stage for months then another girl comes along and i’m done in a week because we’re not technically together.

But you may be right that some guys may just be single and not attached to anyone atm, I really hope so.
