My girlfriend admitted she sometimes worries that I stay with her because other women won't want to date me after I've been with her. I told her the kind of women who care about that wouldn't date me anyway, I'm with her because I want to be not because I feel stuck.

She didn't seem fully convinced, so I just want to get a small sample here to see if I was wrong or if I just focused on the wrong part.

Always with my friends we agree that we would never date a cross dresser. This includes my gay friends and bi.

But the dated a trans is kinda less of the issue.

I wouldn't change how I dress for a partner. I dress for myself how I like and feel comfortable. you're right it is just clothes, it's weird that so many people think I'm being perverse and sexual just for wearing clothes.

Crossdressing just means you wear clothes typically worn by the opposite gender. It's not my fault that a lot of people add on their own bias and random bs they've heard onto the actual definition.

I do normally say I "wear clothes marketed to women" but that felt too long and complicated for the question title or poll options.

I do sometimes wear men's clothes too, but I usually only do that in private or around people who know me. I don't like interacting with strangers that way because I like to know if they are one of the people like you who think I'm a pervert, that way I can avoid giving them any information in small talk like my name or that I live in the city.

That's different. I wouldn't date someone who expects me to always crossdress, or in specific situations. That feels controlling or even like a kink. To each his own, but I don't like anyone telling me how to dress.
