We date but we don’t text, is that okay?

He used to text a lot initially before the first date and I responded days later.

He then only started texting me to set a date. We have had a few dates and we have a great chemistry, but he doesn’t text daily. He texts me about twice a week, when he wants to set a date. Then we meet and talk in person, that’s all.

Why would he date but not text me?

I’m guessing that you just don’t really like this guy. Either that or this is some weird fear of yours, not wanting to put too much effort, get hurt or whatever. Otherwise why does so much of what you say involve him texting you and not the other way around? Even the fact that you waited days to text back says that you want a man who’s going to chase you and I find that naive. Relationships of any kind are a two way road with both people doing their part. When you aren’t hearing from him often it’s probably because you don’t text him in the first place. He’s not trying to travel both lengths of that two way road.
