Like I told him I liked him and he seamed to be okay and then went to see my dad and ask to let me come hangout picked me up and took me to a sight seeing place and meet his parents and he showed me all the cool things in his room and so then he was asking about prom and I never said no I js wanted him to ask me well he didn’t and ended up asking another girl to prom and didn’t have a good time and she didn’t end up dancing with him or anything and he’s been staring at me for weeks on end and still is and came up to me and is taking my phone so DOES he still like me or what happened here?

Whoa dude, this guy is sending some major mixed signals. On one hand he's doing all these coupley things like taking you sightseeing, introducing you to his parents, wanting to go to prom... But then turns around and asks another girl? Not cool.

My guess is he really likes you, but is insecure or worried about actually committing. Guys can be dumb like that sometimes. Taking another girl to prom was probably more of a rebound thing since you wouldn't officially go with him.

Now that he sees how much better it could have been with you, he's regretting it. Hence all the longing stares lately. And wanting to borrow your phone is a sure sign he wants an excuse to spend more time with you.

If I were you, I'd let him know straight up that this hot and cold crap has to stop if he actually wants something real. Make him put his cards on the table - does he like you or not? If yes, he needs to show it fully without games. You deserve better than half-hearted effort.

Hopefully this time apart makes him realize what he's missing. But you shouldn't wait around forever either. Just be like "hit me up if you figure it out" and live your best life in the meantime!
