I never see handsome guy date a normal/ugly girl
As compared to beautiful girl date a normal/ugly guy. Even if there is, that would be 10% only
Before some people might come at me and say “and girl never date a poor guy”. I disagree because there is a lot of woman out there still date a normal guy, in a sense that, you dont have to be rich, rich. As long as sufficient enough for you to live a comfortable life and not the luxury life
Women in their 20s and early 30s overall only find 10% or less of men to be very attractive/hot, and a significant subset of those women rate less than 2% of men as very attractive/hot. So, understand that you are referring to the absolute MOST popular and universally attractive guys, and there are FAR less of those guys to go around than there are women who want them. This means that those guys can demand and get whatever they want, and women will line up to give it to them. Of course they only get into relationships with good looking women - they have hundreds if not thousands to choose from, and there are 10 or 20 girls who can give him everything an average girl can plus be hot. Why would he choose something different? It's like asking why you never see a multi billionaire living in a studio apartment.
But none of this should be news to anyone. You don't have ugly people as leading characters in movies either, or as pop stars.
If someone promised you (or anyone) a billionaire's lifestyle or a relationship with a guy with leading man looks, they lied to you. Almost no one gets that. If you go for a guy above your level, you should expect to get used and/or cheated on - exactly the same as if I dated a woman above my level. That's how life works. Find someone on your level and appreciate the other things he has to offer, or be happy sharing a hot guy with the other girls he bangs, or stay single. Those are your choices, whether you like it or not. And that's true of almost everyone else too.
I should add that the vast majority of men aren't nearly as picky about the girl's looks, but when you are only interested in the very top guys, of course they only want the hottest girls - because they can easily get them. Why wouldn't they?
Just like you wouldn't try to buy a Ferrari or Bentley if you only made $50,000 a year (keeping either car maintained will cost more than that entire annual salary, and that not counting the car payment or any other bills), if you aren't a working supermodel or Taylor Swift, then you have no business "shopping" for a top 5% guy. Nor would I be able to bring home a Victoria's Secret Angel. To think otherwise is laughable, but also kind of dangerous.
The confusing thing for many women is that you can probably get such a man to bang you - if you make it easy for him and do every dirty thing he wants, but it won't lead to a relationship. Guys have no problem "sleeping down" but they don't often "commit down."
I wouldn't use prioritizes, why? Because if her personality is horrendous then she's ugly to me.

When I met the people I dated I was in no way at my best at any meet, most of them sweaty and disheveled. They were more impressed with what I was doing at those times. Men are not all superficial. Sparkly packages come in a number of forms. Attraction is chemical.
Of course they do. It is the first thing they see.
If they are not attracted to her yet value her personality, they either keep her as a friend or move on entirely.

Initial attraction fir men and women is usually based on looks. Then, as the relationship develops, other things like personality and intelligence become more important.

I don't know about "prioritizing" looks because that's just one aspect of who she is.
It's true that I wouldn't date someone if I didn't find her physically attractive. That being said, I always liked normal girls with cute faces and mannerisms and nice bods, not glamor queens.
Beyond looks, I wouldn't continue to date her, no matter how pretty she was, unless I liked her personality.
So looks are important, but they aren't the top priority in the long run.
Also, what people find attractive is subjective.
Guy priotize mainly looks in a girl while for a girl looks and social status is around equally important.
Ofc in the long run personality is important for both were only talking about what we find attractive in the other gender.
Kinda proofen by the fact that women are often more insecure about their looks than men and that make up was invented and used mainly by women. While men on the otherhand compete naturally against each other about status, career etc

All men care about is personality and looks. But it doesn't matter how physically attractive a girl is if she has a shitty personality. So ideally you need both. Men prioritize personality mostly and then looks after.
Girls on the other hand desire a man with financial stability, status and power, physical attractiveness, confidence and assertiveness, emotionally supportive, protective, and is compatible.
Well hope thats the true case. I know a guy who literally down bad for a pretty girl but yet has a shitty attitude, like a slut. And he can simply say “yeah im easy, if you are beautiful, thats all i care about”
Okay let me re-evaluate my answer. All "men that desire long term relationships that can possibly lead to marriage" care about is personality and looks.
You're gonna get both men and women that just want to hookup. The key is staying clear of them if that's not what you want.

1.) Men and women usually have different concepts of "normal". Many times a woman will claim another woman is fugly yet 99% of men agree that other woman is HOT. Or the reverse... many women say she's amazing & guys are like, nahhhh. And when I was younger and on the market, I did not even think of ugly women at all. Another guy might disagree with me too tho. I could think she's very, very interesting and another guy thinks: nahh. But guys mostly agree on looks with each other. Mostly.
2.) Men are visual. Of course a guy is drawn to what he sees. Only 1 time in my life did I go dating a woman I thought was borderline. And she still had a great body.
3.) My theory is that if a guy is with a fugly woman it's because he has no other options. But he may fool himself into thinking he's just some kind of saint doing charity work. Same with women who date losers. They have no other options.
@At3mis24 A woman can always fix her looks! And her personality. But most have some mental block/"poor me" excuses not to try. Or they fall into the trap of believing the feminist idea that the world revolves around women & a man's opinion doesn't matter. That idea doesn't help a woman get a guy who has options.
I’m going to agree to disagree & disagree to agree. I prioritize personality & chemistry & if true be told I’ve dates some really hotties & they had personalities that were dog shit. Looks aren’t everything & if you really connect with someone explore it.

Most women that think they are an 8 or below are often a 5 or below in reality. Take off the make up and show how you really look. MANY women are average or unattractive. They think if desperate low quality men hit on them that it makes them attractive. Get real. Plenty of women on here are below average and are delusional and think they look good.
Women go for looks more often than men. Many average and even good looking men are fine with a woman that looks like a 5 or above, but she needs good morals, which MOST women have bad morals and don't qualify for a good man. Bad morals is the most common failing of women.
Why do so many short men have difficulty if it isn't women prioritizing looks the most?
And dating website data proves who women choose the most, so even statistics PROVE that women prioritize looks more.

I agree with the statement that guys prioritise looks because looks determine whether a guy finds a woman worthy to pursue. But I would add that not all guys go with the trend meaning just because prioritise looks they still vary in different aspects such as boob size or length of a woman´s hair.
Guys definition of beauty still can be different but nonetheless guys won´t stay faithful to a woman they don´t consider attractive.
@At3mis24 If you say so. It´s probably harder for you to find someone but that doesn´t mean that you´ll never find someone. My statement was a general statement that doesn´t include everyone. Different guys consider different body types attractive, it´s not like all guys want a supermodel as a partner.
@At3mis24 Yes I would say most guys go for a beautiful woman first often with sex in mind. The older a guy gets or the more mature a guy gets the more likely he´s looking for a relationship. Also guys that have regular contact with women as friends/acquintances know that most women don´t like the models they´ve seen in porn or an Instagram. So they don´t expect their partner to look perfect in everyway but they are interested in other aspects like character/life goals...
Agree. For the most part. A cis-man wouldn't typically swipe left on a woman (reject her profile on a dating site) if he didn't think he had a chance to bang her without a condom. It's the truth. Both cis-normative sexes know this. It's old news.
I think this is also true for women. You don't like dirt in the finger nails. What if he is a mechanic? You don't like stinky guys. You don't like non trendy or unkempt haircuts. You don't like guys that don't dress correct.
Key is be decent. As i know a lot of girls would give a chance to a guy if he has a great personality. But i know majority of guy, if the girl has great personality but normal face, she will be immediately go under the friendzone without a single try..
I think “beauty is in the eye of the beholder” and the vision of what’s handsome/hot/whatever is empirically subjective. What one guy or girl finds attractive is not attractive to ALL guys/gals….
I think that's true, but it's not completely random either. Some people are considered attractive by more people than others.
Every healthy human being with their full faculties that has ever existed prioritized physical attraction when selecting for potential mates. Just as every human being does now. Just as every human being will ALWAYS do. It’s a simple fact of evolutionary biology.

I think guys MOSTLY prioritize looks, and girls MOSTLY prioritize looks and/or money.
Maybe SOMETIMES people get less shallow as they get older. But obviously a lot of people don't.
Also, it might depend on whether the guy or girl is looking for something short term, or for something long term. Maybe people want a hookup to be as hot as possible, but have other considerations when they're looking for a husband or wife.

I wouldn't know. I'm not a handsome guy. And I used to hang out at the pub reading books and judge people who spoke to me based on the comments they made... as I heard the comments before I even saw what they looked like.
I notice appearance first, yes, but I need a lot more than that before I'll make a move. Attractive girls were everywhere at university, yet I didn't bother to date any of them, because most weren't my type as people.
Young guys maybe in the beginning like HS, the initial attraction is very important but as you get older all the other things become very important. A beautiful but stupid wife is not something I want at least
I see many different combinations on the streets... if he is only casually dating, then maybe he prioritizes looks... but for relationship compatibility of personalities is needed... so looks maybe is important but not most important...
So you acknowledge that attractive women will (sometimes) date normal/ugly guys, but claim that attractive guys will only date attractive women- and then say that it's MEN who always prioritize looks?

Nah, a mature male looking to start a family will take an average looking female that checks all the boxes over a 10/10 that isn't wife/mother material.
There has to be some level of physical attraction, but I think most women are attractive as long as they take basic care of themselves. This doesn't mean I consider most women dateable.
If he looks for sex only, he wants to get a beautiful girl, but for a long term relationship, it's more an average girl with good personality who will win against beauty.

I do agree with that. But eventually at least for me, personality matters more. No matter how good looking you are, but your attitude is out, that would be a major turn off. But i seen few guys that couldn’t care about her shitty attitude cuz she is way too beautiful to let go
