Is it normal to get really pissed off when doing math for a long period of time?

I'm studying statistics in college for the first 3 chapters of the stats book so I am prepared for the exam. I have been studying for over 4 hours now and I can feel myself progressively getting more pissed off. Is this normal and what should I do to reduce that/ make things easier?

Any arduous task can be frustrating and cause a person distress. Build in break time every hour to take a walk, get water, listen to music and come back calmer. You got this!

Lol it is frustrating maby try to break it down into smaller parts and get one part down before moving onto the next. Take some breaks tho, move around and try to study in the morning and at night

My biggest problem will be running out of time during exams and get a bunch of questions marked wrong.

Hmm yeah just keep practicing, for me morning and night studys help me retain the information a lot faster

Also try to find out if your visual, hands on, or if you learn best by hearing

And than you can study that way. When i whent to school i had to learn the origin and insertian of 120 muscles but it wasn't until i used a coloring book that i did really well lol

Mathematics fills me with rage. I'm no good at it, that's probably why.

I HAAAAAATE anything about elementary algebra. It fills me with so much rage that I want to throw things. I have a learning disability and it takes me so much longer to do them. In stats if you mess up on step two the whole problem is fucked and you don't know where you fucked up at. I need this class to graduate with my associates tho.

Yeah, I've got learning disabilities also (adhd). so as a kid paying attention was hard in school, especially in math. But it's no excuse and now I have to work harder to understand... It does suck.

But I did grasp geography pretty well. The visual aspect of it probably helped quite a bit.

The steps are what get me screwed up. I have a bad habit of not writing every tiny little thing down and skipping steps because I can do certain things in my head.

Same. I have to have it written down do I can see it. But I lose track of what I wrote down.

Just take a deep breath and remember that it its just math.

I have to do this assessment thing for a job, it gives you like 30 seconds to see the question and put down the answer. Most of the questions are "work out the missing number". I ended up getting peed off and throwing my pen on the floor because I can't work the bloody thing out in time.

Statistics is one of the core engineering subjects and was among my least favorite. Take regular breaks so that you don't burn out.

Math just pisses me off in general, most of it is so unnecessary in my opinion.

They are throwing new terms at me that piss me off too. "Standard deviation, oligov, etc. I don't know whether to fly into a rage or start crying. I hate it so much.
