Is It Valid to Turn Down Relocation to Be Closer to My Friends & Family Members?

Relocation in a Nutshell

I am asking this question if maintaining established network of friends & family members are justified reason to reject relocation. Holding everything else equal, I don't want to sacrifice my friends & family members for relocation or career opportunities?

They can if they worked through COVID.
