Please help me! My boss is a major bitch but the job pays well. What do you do about bullying at the workplace?

This is my situation right now. I have a great paying job but my superior is a major beach to me. Today, she told me “I am going to need you to start being more resourceful in the amount of paper towels you use to dry your hands.” I replied “excuse me?” She said “Yeah, I saw you leave the bathroom and I went inside and noticed it was you that was using way too many paper towels to dry your hands. One is enough.”
But it isn’t only that. She sometimes whispers to other employees and then when I approach, she stops whispering as if she’s talking about me. She also takes credit for my work, gives me impossible tasks so i have to work nonstop from the time I click on till I leave. She never says thank you for work i complete or please when giving me tasks. I am willing to put up with her stuff because it pays well but ugh.

Anonymous report to her boss, branch owner, department supervisor or whoever has the ability to promote/demote her. Especially Human Resources.

Just be careful how you word the report. If its just a banter of "she's a terrible person, i can't stand her..." they will just presume you're bitter and give her a head pat. Instead just focus on the facts, and dont go on a namecalling tour.

Find a lateral position at your company or switch jobs.

It'd one thing for your boss to he a hard ass occasionally, but this is nonsensical. With this market, you'll not only be doing yourself a favor, but you'll get a hefty salary increase as well

I'd either go above her to HR (or her boss) if it's that bad, or just put up with it until you find another job. That's a bit ridiculous though, especially the paper towel thing, like wow! lol I had a somewhat similar experience once. A manager that was similar and seemed to hate all guys, would often make comments how "women were so superior to men". Thankfully she wasn't my manager directly (on another shift) but I just thought "wow, and she's a manager?" Someone like that and feels that way should never be in a position of power. They are supposed to be neutral and fair to everyone.

It makes me wonder because she does have a lot of pro lgbt, pro blm, pro feminism on her office desk. She also had me take a diversity lecture before officially getting hired. Her boyfriend is black. She is white.

Nothing is more imp than self respect as an individual ... so spit on ur bitchy boss throw her coffe on her destroy her workplace break her table and chairs download some applications online hunt for jobs tht u would love to do ! Or dreamt of doing it as a kid

Life will be full of situations like this. Unless you can make her have some kind of accident there is not much you can do. If she is that bad to you she is bad to others as well and soon it will catch up with her. I have had more than one asshole boss. I outlasted all of them.

document everything she says to you. complain to HR. if they dont fire her you contact the departmemt of labor. if they fire you in retaliation you call one of the federal workforce organisatioms and sue them for retaliation, wrongful termination, hostile work envoronment. It helps if you are a protected class so be a woman, a black perso, a woman, or gay. good luck.

I advise deal with it or you might have to find a new job. Don’t take what she says to heart learn to shrug it off give no cares about her complaining. Ask her if she wants some cheese with all that wine? If you are the squeaky wheel that complains you gonna get canned not her.

unless you can truly pin down an hr/eo violation, this will continue.
refresh your resume and prepare to move on.
as with other partners, there are also other jobs.
life's too short to work for a jerk.
if you MUST continue to work there, do what you can to diffuse situations/critical comments (e. g., take your own paper towels).

The paper towel thing is weird, but whatever. You're in an entry level position. You need to toughen up, ignore her, and do your job. Your boss isn't there to please you or make you happy.

Find an adjacent field of work and go work there dealing with a dumbass is never worth the headache. If it isn't a 9-5 and you can work a different shift i definitely suggest that. Having dealt with that myself it only leads to a downhill migraine

You can always gather proof and your co-workers that you trust, and take those her superiors if she has any. If not, you can always let your district management know or if that fails, corporate.
