Whats the reason you left your abusive job?

I was being abused by managers and coworkers. My new job, at least one manager is so nice and amazing. I put up with it way too long, thinking i couldnt get another job cause usually when i apply to jobs they dont even call me for interviews.

QA with a certain AAA game company that has been pretty controversial of late.

The managers were constantly strict but never enforced what they said as guidelines and never really had a clue when the actual game would ACTUALLY WORK on the test rigs. It was apsolutely enraging how they would send us off expecting the new builds to work and then get passive aggressive when everything would just go to $h1t. Really awkward toxic enviorment. Felt like a sweat shop.

Yeah I've had jobs including my current one that act passive aggressive and ridiculous. I feel like a lot of managers shouldn't be managers at all. It feels like the worst people get promoted real fast.

And those with actual ethics and morals and respect for others get ignored and treated badly. Two words: TOXIC WORKPLACE.

My first job out of college was abusive. I put up with it for a year and a half in order to get the experience. Plus, being a new grad, there wasn't a whole lot of choice. The manager was a nice guy actually, but naive and clueless. He never caught on that he needed to do things to improve the workplace. Long standing employees quit or walked off the job. He didn't realize that something needed to be done.

Funny that even though that was a long time ago, it has been on my mind a lot lately. I even looked up a former fellow employee from that job and contacted him just to catch up. He totally freaked out and was glad that I went to all the trouble of finding him on the internet. That job was so messed up that if anyone even had a sick day, it would create so much havoc from being short handed that it would be talked about for months. There were no employees there under 30. No one over 30 could handle the pace. They'd walk off the job and quit, or get fired for being too slow.

Me too!! By male bullies mainly! People say girls are catty but honestly... Guys are also but they do it in a nonchalant way so it seems less emotional on their end. They act like theyre just joking.
