lol of course you'd say that... i have a feeling you have no idea what you mean by any one of those things and just heard it from the some propaganda spewing bullshit...
I've actually got a Masters Degree in Political Science, and studied law during my MBA program; so, I know exactly what the fk I mean when I say those terms. Do you?
Why should I have to prove credentials in order to show I know what I'm talking about? Do I have to give you an at length description of the foundational literature of critical theory, including critical race theory, gender theory, feminist theory, etc? No, I don't. Any literature that promotes the idea that (amorphous) institutional/ systemic/ systematic racism/ sexism/ homophobia/ "imposed" sexual dichotomies is the penultimate independent variable to distinct outcomes, instead of racial/ sexual/ individual differences falls under the umbrella of CRT, gender theory, feminist theory, etc. Any literature that describes world/ American history as white people being oppressors, and black/ brown people as the oppressed, even today, should be banned. It's immoral, and pragmatically it'll only result in a race war. This doesn't mean American slavery should not be taught, but there should be an emphasis that it was white people who ended it (a practice that all races engaged in), and it was due to enlightenment era philosophy (created by white people), which came up with the very idea that "all men are created equal." Any literature that describes the relationship between men and women as one of oppressor, and victim, even today, and all differences are the result of some ambiguously defined "patriarchy," should not be taught/ available for young people to read. This is not only false, disregarding both history and biology, but it also poisons the relationship between the sexes. Lastly, any literature that promotes gay/ trans lifestyles as good/ valid, etc. or as anything more than what should be tolerated should be banned. Disease, body mutilation, and all the degeneracy we see in the streets/ libraries/ etc. is a result of this. Of course 30-40% of Gen Z are identifying as LGBTQ; this automatically puts them in a protected, elevated class, especially the white kids. What other way would they escape the eternal judgement as evil (a la CRT)?
Censorship has its place in society; this isn't the same as a mob of unemployed, blue haired, weirdos, or blacks looking to elevate themselves by tearing down others.
Gays are kinda like vegans and cross fitters in that regard. Literally have to drop that into any conversation until someone asks about it, then they get to go into a long diatribe. "OH, I wasn't teaching them anything, but they asked..."
“ Censorship has its place in society; this isn't the same as a mob of unemployed, blue haired, weirdos, or blacks looking to elevate themselves by tearing down others.”
You’re right what you ultimately want is much muuuuch worse and its not even close
The 1-3% is from any cross-cultural study of homosexual prevalence in society. The 40% was arbitrary, but please watch TV or any streaming service and tell me you don't see, in every show, commercial, etc. either a gay person, or a black guy coupled with a white girl. I'll wait...
So, you'll admit that the narrative and imagery are distinct from reality, but you don't see a problem with literature that does the same, which presents itself as fact.
I was on a committee making a policy about exactly this we put the power in the hands of the parents and let them decide which books their kids should be able to check out
I don't like it. They should be able to read whatever they want, however I agree that on some books definitely should be trigger warnings and students made aware how it can impact them.
Thats fucked up. Its like we dont want our species to evolve and be better. We would rather fill our childre s heads with confussing thoughts of sexuality...

Anything on critical race theory, gender theory, or homosexual propaganda should be banned in schools.

'homosexual' propaganda aka anything that happens to have gay couples in it.
@Echosoul lol pretty much. or if a gay teacher merely says 'i had a birthday with my husband over the weekend. how was your weekend kids?'
thats 'propaganda' smh
Censorship has its place in society; this isn't the same as a mob of unemployed, blue haired, weirdos, or blacks looking to elevate themselves by tearing down others.
@Echosoul Yea, when they're 1-3% of the population at large, and 40% of the characters on TV...

Pulling random numbers out of your ass. Nice

And so what if there is?

I guess it depends on the books.. I don't think playboy should be in schools lol but history books and such are very important in my opinion
Which books? I mean, does anyone really want his 2nd grader reading The Joy of Sex?
What when did this happen?
a lot of schools are doing this now
Noooo books are my life!!
Same!
Uhh crazy idea to ban book reading 😒
Say what!@@?
A lot of schools these days are banning certain books from being accessed by their students at all
Thats fucked up. Its like we dont want our species to evolve and be better.
We would rather fill our childre s heads with confussing thoughts of sexuality...
