I work tonight and won't get home til after 10pm.
To get to school on time tomorrow I'd have to be out the door before 8:30am.
Do I stay up late and get it done before bed
Or get some sleep then wake up early to do it.

I highly suggest waking up at 6, cause not getting enough sleep can kinda damage your brain, you start forgetting stuff easily, you can't focus or even think right and you can't see very well cause for some reason you eyes start crossing cause the lack of energy. I know this from experience of walking dogs at 7AM or less without getting any sleep until much much later and this also changed my personality, I was usually angry, a bit aggressive and constantly annoyed with everything what got into my path. so yeah, I suggest early and make sure you have a good sleeping schedule.
Doing it in the evening ensures you have enough hours to finish it. You also might lose sleep worrying about making sure you wake up early enough. Having said that, I used to prefer waiting until morning, as then my mind is fresher
Get some decent sleep and wake up early because when you get home your mind is all over the place BUT waking up early at least 90 minutes there will be lesser distractions and you will be most productive where people are usually still asleep and your phone and texts will be very minimal and you can start your day with a clear head 🙂
I said get up early. It's good to sleep after work. Take it from a guy that doesn't. I drive 1 hour and 15 minutes each way for work. Work 12 or more hours. Get home and work on things for a few hours. Get about 3 to 5 hours of sleep and do it again. Every day. It wears you out doing things after work.

never liked to do homework then, I would stay up at night instead
wake up early to do the work, get some rest then do it in the morning
I find it best to stay up late and get it done the waking up early to finish it. If I wait until morning it won't get done.

I'd say it depends how your work under pressure, and how likely you are to oversleep.
Make it a habit to wake up at 5am. It will be peaceful and quiet. Plus your days are longer.
Always better to work after a sleep.
