Is there hope for STEM Majors and Long Distance?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost a year now. We obviously have feelings for each other by saying “I love you” whenever we can. Yet, it’s a bit difficult since he goes to university in Missouri and I’m all the way here in community college in New York, and both of us are STEM Majors. Him majoring in Aerospace Engineering and I’m majoring in Nursing/Bio. Whenever we go on break, we call and facetime for hours. Yet, now he decided to go on a relationship break due to the stress the classes are giving him and him being tutored or in library for the majority of the time. I don’t know if calling it quits would be the best for him, since I do love him a lot. Or if there’s hope in us? Please give me advice lol

If he thinks he needs a break, then give him one. if you find someone else in the meantime, good, or if you get back together in the future, that would also be good. You have nothing to lose by taking a break.

damn, I was in that same boat. I dragged it out for 4 years but finally broke up with her. It is 4 years I will never get back. I would just call it quits.
