How to handle jealous classmates?

i got highest marks in chemistry test and my teacher praised me for that. one of my classmate said that i study too much that's why i got full marks. and made me feel uncomfortable. most people were teasing me by saying topper. what to do now?

The way to avoid jealousy is to be quite and secretive. If you don’t mention your grades, you won’t be hated for it. People don’t get jealous of quiet and humble people, even if they are very smart. Another way is to associate with people equal to you in university. In my last few years of school I was in a social group for people who routinely got high 90s in their classes, at my school, a perfect A is an 85.

Pay no mind and continue to focus on your schoolwork. People will always be jealous of those who are better than them. It’s human nature. Don’t let them make you feel bad for being good at something and actually caring about your work.
