Employee appreciation day. I wrote the following to my boss. I thought it was good and spot on.

I wanted to take a few moments to write and say thank you for all that you do for us. Not just for Employee Appreciation Day, but on a daily basis.

I probably don't day it often as I should, but I think you are doing a great job! Keep doing what you are doing!

I will also share that I am proud to work on a high performing team. I think that we have a lot of potential in the way we function to do great things and I think that we work well together as a team.

I don't believe we would be there if it were not for the strong support and care we receive from leadership. The ability to lead a team effectively, listen with empathy and provide sound guidance. When all these things come into play, we stand out from the rest and gives us a competitive edge. An operational excellence if you will. These elements are crucial to our success as a team.

---The response was---

'Wow. Thank you. I appreciate you expressing your sentiments in such an articulate way. 😃 '

Soon as I read the response, even from my computer at home I started getting embarrassed as if I should have sent it. I feel a little worried too all at the same time. Not sure why I don't know if it was well received but maybe it was. Any thoughts?
