I am so unhappy in my career is this normal?

Is it too late to go into something else?

I am smart but everything requires so many years of school, and I thought my schooling years were done.

Am I smart enough to get into and do well a 4-year graduate program for example? Yes.

Will I resist it because of the number of years of study. Yes.

What should I do?

Its only to late when you pass away, but besides that it’s never too late to follow your dreams.

Most people are to scared to go after what they actually would love to do for the rest of their life. To determine if you should go to college for your career choice you should first research your industry. Figure out how valuable schooling is.

Do you need certification or skills and experience?

Do you learn better in a classroom or can you learn on your own with books and some videos? Is paying for school worth it based on job availability and pay?

okay- it says you are 25-29 years old. Say you go back to school even for 4 years. You will be 29-33 years old. You will be 29-33 years old anyway. Wouldn't it be better to be that old doing something you like?
I went through this myself. I trained for a second career when I was almost 40 and I never looked back.

I have always been unhappy with most jobs I have had, seems normal to me. The only job I really like is a summer seasonal job working at a ranch, which I am currently doing right now.

Otherwise I am constantly switching jobs trying new things, but I am going to be starting school after this job is done, not sure what yet. I am seriously considering trades as they are less time, good pay and in high demand.

If you can shift, do that, in fact, you can shift several times in life and that's ok until you love your work.

Well the 4 years are going to pass no matter what so you have to decide if by that time you would want to be in another career.

It's never too late until you're dead. If you're unhappy, find something that does make you happy. Don't just settle. It'll make you miserable.
