What was the worst job you ever done? What made you quit?
I have worked as a waitress and my boss always made me spend more time after we closed up too, also he really drilled on girls to wear low cut tops and short skirts or shorts even when it was cold outside. So yeah creepy boss

I worked in customer service doing cable repair. I was on phones doing cable repair over the phone. The company kept track of everything, and I do mean EVERYTHING.

If we were on the phone too long, we got written up. If we transferred more than 5% of out calls in a week, we were written up. If we sent out more than 10% of technicians because we couldn't fix their problem on the phone, we got written up, if a customer wanted to cancel services (HBO, Disney Plus), it came out of our paycheck.

We used the internet there, and one time I got written up because I didn't go to one of "Their" sites on the list. I finally lost my job when my first call resolution was higher than it should be. (More than 5% of my customers called back in a week).

The services were crappy and expensive. They tried to con me out of getting unemployment, which I got denied at first. They pissed me off so bad, I told them "I swear to God, if I don't get unemployment and have to live on the street, I'll come back here every day and slash your tires, and follow you to your homes til you do the right thing!"

I got approved! lol. Sometimes you gotta stand up for yourself.

These cable companies are a joke! They don't care about you at all! They make fun of their customers, and call them idiots! They're assholes, big time!

I was working a 7/11 job for Akmid and Amid and they'd constantly compare me to Mexicans... it was somewhere in Burbank and yeah the late-night show dude Jay Leno would come through to buy some coffee. Like there would be like all out gang members outside and they'd ask me to tell them to go away. Fuck you you sand nagger... I'm like a 5'10" white guy and that is like 4 or 5 different 7' or taller black dudes outside and they all look like they're guerrillas straight from the Congo! I think I took like 2 months' pay from that and quit to join the military.

I'd rather risk my life to be told "thank you for your service" than risk my life by being laughed at by dudes that walks around with guns hanging out their underwear and have their pants hanging around their ankles drinking 40oz of that OE (god's nectar) outside of the 7/11 okay. I went from working for sand naggers to killing them. You can't blame me.

Call center.

It was my first one and we were meant to sell. First week, we barely got calls. But the queens at the big desk said they didn't care and to SELL. Sell... to the people who weren't calling. :) You need to sell within 3 calls or get slapped (metaphorically)

So, i wasn't the best seller so I would be looked at like I was stupid. I learned some skills from them but what broke the camel's back was when I decided to lie and tell the absence line I can't speak because of the dentist fked my mouth up. In reality, the appointment had to get rescheduled so I went on a sweet trip with family. I came back to hear that I missed too many and needed the notes of

• broken windshield
• busted tire
• two dentist notes

I gave them one dentist notes and they said it wasn't enough, they'll see me tomorrow with the other ones. I packed up my shi and sat in the bathroom. Basically felt like this place wasn't worth my time, put my door key on the hook of the door and rode off into the sunset.

Bartending as a 18 year old. The regulars were AMAZING people but everyone else not so much.

What made me quit was my boss though, pulled me off the streets asking if I could work a shift - when I was bar hopping (so I was tipsy), I agreed but said I had to go home to shower (and sober up a little). Came 40 min later (not completely sober) and the man pulls me into the side room and starts yelling at me like crazy for everyone to hear so I told him to cover the shift himself and walked out. Never took another shift there.

That is creepy unless you were working at Hooters or some shit lol , Worst job I ever had was working as a Hospital Security Officer , not realizing how fucked up people are until I worked in that setting , and not realizing how many fucked up people were living in my city , I give major props to Nurses and Doctors for being able to put up with that shit honestly , I felt bad for them in a sense and understood why most of them were doing the things they were doing cuz they were under severe stress , the shit I experienced and witnessed was out of this world , Quitting that job was the best feeling ever cuz there was never a dull moment , every day i went to work I had to deal with wack jobs. Never again lol

Halloween store. what made me quit was the bitch that was charge of it. it was mostly just me and her when i was working and she was insufferable. every thought in her head, she had to say it. her daughter was also a bitch. bathroom breaks were the only moment of peace and quiet i could get. and then when a teenage rush would come in, i'd have to separately take out each single costume piece and hand it to them over the dressing room door because the bitch didn't want anyone stealing anything. and it was only me tending to the teens.

One of my first summer jobs was harvesting tobacco down in Tilsonburg, Ontario. There certain bugs/slugs that like the tobacco and they would often squish between your fingers when harvesting. Your fingers were literally stained with bug and slug guts by the end of the day.

The place I worked at would have dirty dishes all piled up on the floor right across the kitchen that the night staff left there. It was also frustrating when staff would see the kitchen was full of dirty dishes and the staff downstairs would bring you more dirty dishes leaving you boxed in, or the waiters wouldn't bother putting the food scraps in the bin even though it was part of their job description.

Lunch time supervisor. It was at my 6th form. The pay was good for 1 hour a day. 1 shift at the library was fine and good no issues. But I had 4 shifts at the primary school. I had to work longer normally as the staff really liked me cause I worked harder than others but I don't like being around kids.

Worst job I ever had was a 'boiler room' call centre where a customer had to say "No" three times before you could end the call, and if you didn't make the hourly performance targets by lunchtime, you were sent home in the afternoon without pay.
