How do some women who have average or part time jobs afford their expensive trips and plastic surgery?

I see a lot of women on Instagram (and know some personally) who have part-time gigs that maybe pay like $300 or so a month and then some modeling gigs, but the math doesn’t add up as to how they afford really expensive designer items, vacations and plastic surgery they get. And the reason I think it matters to be concerned is because it misleads their followers about their lifestyle and how they make money just by doing gigs here and there. I’m a software developer making $150K a year and couldn’t even afford all these items. Do they have sugar daddies or something else going on?

How do you make that much a year and can’t afford a comfortable life with vacations and such?

Couldn’t afford all these items at once. That’s a lot of upkeep with plastic surgery and also beauty maintainence continuously. Maybe a vacation a month but not every single week or so. I also save and invest a good chunk aside from rent and living/food expenses.

So I think the difference is, you handle money differently than they do. You have different priorities. If they have money saved up, chances are they are blowing through savings. Also don’t let social media fool you - people aren’t going on vacations every week. I’ve seen people repost pictures of trips they taken months ago

Definitely. I don’t really care that much it’s their life. Where it’s off putting is that they have a lot of young and impressionable followers who think they can just sit at home and do nothing and make tons of money too and look like that. They never admit where the money to fund their lifestyle really comes from in order to make themselves look like they’re so much better.

That’s true. Yeah there’s this girl I know who’s my yoga instructor and she’s like the person I described in the question. She’s very status driven and only wants to associate with certain people. She blew me off multiple times after initiating that she wanted to get coffee and learn more about my computer science degree. “Sorry I’m traveling! Sorry I didn’t follow up.” She’s just SO important and doesn’t care about others’ schedules.

Lol I don't know what to think. In general she’s a sweet person but like something seems a little off sometimes too
