Job search support?

Question

Please help me, okay so I’m 19 and still livin under my parents roof. So here’s the thing I’ve been jobless for 6 months now. the only reason why I was able to get a job the last time was because it was fast food. Anyway I’m really trying to do this on my own but it’s hard, my parents want me to live up to their expectations but I can’t, literally physically can’t. They make fun of me because I can’t find a job tellin me I’m lazy all of that treat me like absolute crap about my situation. I have tried lookin for jobs I’ve gone place to place, they say their hiring but they aren’t. actually look up ghost jobs 2023 for a better (exp) also some I go in they say their application are online or they give me one I’ll fill it out and they never return my call. Same with the online jobs I fill them out then call them and ask if they got it, they say they do but never set up a interview, or they aren’t hiring at the moment but still have their hiring sign up 3 days late. I’ve tried to tell my parents this or others about it and they just give me that I’m lazy or your lying. They won’t help me or they cut the conversation short. I actually wanna start workin again that I even took there word for it and reflected also changed some of the areas of my life that I’m lacking in, also I looked it up. But dead ends everywhere. there is a lot of other people to I know of that are in the same crisis as me. Because of job inflation. So Ik it’s not just me strugglin. Anyway could you guys give me actual advice I’m so tired of this

hi, @carnagirl18 you’re 19. Are you in college? that would be a great place to get a work-study job and start developing your skillset and experience  also, retail would have been a fine choice there’s a lot of seasonal hiring around the last quarter of the year but it’s a bit late now  think about what you want to do long term. even if you don’t have the skillset for that yet. go out to that particular field and look at entry-level jobs. during your application and interview, talk about your aspirations. employers love that sorry your parents are giving you a hard time. sometimes parents don’t know how it is

Online jobs are difficult if you're not in tech or administration or don't have experience. Job hunting is a nightmare even if you DO have a good resume and experience. Just keep going and apply EVERYWHERE. If there's an Amazon Fulfillment in your area, they pretty much hire anyone.

Though right now is usually not an easy time to hire since companies are getting rid of temp workers, but that doesn't mean you don't try. It took me over 500 applications, but in the end I landed a great job. It sucks right up until it doesn't.

Pick a brand that nobody has a positive opinion of or has had low brand reputation lately. It may be easy to get a job while no one else wants to work there or the brand isn't as bad as it seems from the inside in versus the outside looking in. Lol. Less competition maybe 🤔
