Would you work on your birthday for a job you given you're 2 weeks notice at?

I give my 2 weeks' notice at a job that's the worst place I ever worked for out of repected for my co-workers even though my conworkers are toxic. I put in a request to take off the day of my birthday, which happens to be my last day working for the company 12-8. I did say I don't mind working to 3 or 5 pm but would not be working past that on my birthday. The store owner has not replied to any of my messages or requests for the day off. All I got was a thank you for giving a two weeks notice and not just quiting like everyone else.

3 shift leaders have changed loctions , 2 peoole quit and the store General manager quit without even a 1 day notice she kist stopped coming in.

Dude, I wouldn't work on my birthday if they're acting like that. It's your last day there anyway and it's your BIRTHDAY! Those people sound super toxic and unorganized if managers are quitting with no notice. They clearly don't respect your time.

Who cares if the owner hasn't replied, you gave plenty of heads up with the request. That's on them for not getting back to you, not your fault they're bad at communicating. I'd say stick to your word about leaving by 5pm max, but honestly if it were me I'd just take the whole day off. What are they gonna do, fire you? You'd be doing them a favor by not quitting on the spot too.

Plus imagine having to be around all those rude coworkers on your BDAY of all days. Nope, hard pass. Enjoy your special day stress free! If the owner kicks up a fuss, just be like "Sorry dude, but I did give notice and it's my BIRTHDAY. Maybe manage things better next time." You don't owe them jack, especially after dealing with that BS for so long. Go have fun man, screw that place!
