How do you deal with being placed on administrative leave?

I have been in law enforcement for sometime now and been having issues with my mom trying to sabotage my career. She has did everything to try and get me fired including making up fake calls. This resulted in no arrests and I was also cleared each and everytime. She called the police this morning saying that I pulled a knife on her and was trying to hurt her. However, I have been in a domestic violence situation with her for sometime now regardless of where I lives. I kept all trails to my police department just in case something like this happened. Responding officer went to her address, and didn’t give into what she was doing. I been bullied by my mom and etc because she want power over me, I have moved away from my mom I don’t know how many times. Cutting contact with her definitely made it worser. This morning the responding officer stood his ground and refused to have me arrested. Again, no evidence was found, nothing. The more investigations don’t find anything, the more she keeps doing. She kept demanding that I be arrested and the officers told her they can’t arrest somebody just because she wanted them in jail. I moved so many times and she still be trying to find out where I’m at. This woman abused the shit out of me all my life and did everything to control me. After this morning, my mom went to the justice complex and tried to make it seem like I was off my medicine whatever that is. Apparently, the officer response didn’t sit well with her. She tried to have me committed immediately and got mad when that didn’t work either. My chain of command from the police department had to be notified and I’m on administrative leave pending an investigation from her county. This is the first time I ever was placed on leave. I’m very scared. The more people don’t do nothing, the worser she gets with this

Thanks everyone! I was found not wrong for the umpteenth time in the row. My childhood is coming into question and everything is coming to light. people have so many questions but no answers. apparently so much has been going on without me knowing about that

Sorry to hear this. I’ve been placed in administrative leave recently, but I just kept telling them I was innocent and they decided to let me start working again. I just started back a few weeks ago.

If no evidence is found, they’ll most likely let you come back. There would be no proof that you’re “off your medicine” especially if there’s no proof that you’re supposed to be on medicine in the fist place.

Thank you so much!!! Not long after posting this that’s what happened! I’m sorry this happened to you as well! It’s crazy! Yes I have post traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety. she was trying to get me committed off her own devil work. she don’t know that I have PTSD but other coworkers knew. She was trying to get people to take me to the emergency room and get on medicine SHE THINK I NEEDED! I just have ptsd and that’s not a crime. The medicine was expensive and I lost my health insurance because of this mess. Since I moved, I haven’t been able to refill none of my medicine. She was literally trying to force me into the emergency room or doctor office today. It was crazy!

Wow! Is your mother off of her medication? Is she trying to make you move back in with her? Maybe the best thing would be to have her arrested after you get cleared. So there is a paper trail of evidence of what she is doing. Then she might cause herself to be committed. Wish you luck!

Thank you and she don’t have medication which is the problem. Police officers were very aware of how much abusive I suffered at the hands of her while others turned they head. I learned this morning while I was never brought in for questioning or didn’t know half of anything. I of course talked to the chief and nothing was mentioned. She was there trying to forcefully have me committed. I changed my name and couldn’t even stay at a job without being pulled off. I had to keep driving back to her place and had to continuously stay or put up with the constant abuse. Our police department was very aware who she was and what she was doing. If you say no, she would find another way to make her wishes happened. Her and my auntie kept trying to put me in a hospital and asked was I off my medication. I even changed cars, location, and etc. dammit even changed my damn name!

Then had the audacity trying to send me to the emergency room. Getting all my old information and calling the doctors herself. However, the information in the system was wrong. I moved to get away from her damn abuse but I reported everything. Everybody knew everything

Holy cow! Can’t you charge her with false charges? Be careful of the Red Flag laws. Or swatting.
How does she keep finding you? Does she have friends in the DMV? She is driving you batty!

After today, it seems like she gonna get what’s coming. The police department where she lives let her get by with murder basically. They did everything she ever asked and when they stood ground, she went a different route. She tried to make me go to the emergency room and get help. She tried her hardest to put me on medication that was non existent. They didn’t do what she said, so she took that route. I worked hard to get where I’m at and I’m tired. It’s about time that something is being done about it.

I just received information that I’m cleared, again it was another officer arrested. So therefore, she lied on me again. I didn’t do anything to anybody. I hope like hell she suffers!

Have you tried moving states... why are you staying in the same area as your mom if she is so much of an issue. Every city needs police officers or similar just go to a different state.

Per my post, I was in a different city but I don’t wanna move to another state. In fact I moved so many times but the reason it became a problem was because the police department where she lives wasn’t doing anything about it…. they just now doing something about it.

Moving around the state does nothing when she can just call precincts until she finds you. Good luck calling every precinct in the country

Not long after posting this, I was found not guilty of everything. In fact, it was someone else again, not me. they had to assign a new chief and that’s when the ball got rolling. I just wanna know how she was getting all this information. She got the name of my medications and information on medical records. she was tracking me down in every avenue and I wanna know how.

I made it clear this morning that I would like to know how she was getting this information. Was she calling into the pharmacy trying to pose as me? how is she getting this information that she’s not supposed to have? this morning raised a lot of questions for me. Once I arrived at the house, she had old information about doctor visits and much more which was of course inaccurate. people had information that had no business having in their possession. I also been cleared of any wrongdoing for the umpteenth time in the row

Everything she did, she did it behind people back especially mines. it was only this morning that I was finding out more stuff. I don’t entertain her because I didn’t know none of this. In fact I don’t know at all and never did know anything. it took a different chief before anything was ever done about her. I’m never around so nobody never knows nothing until it happens. They were letting her get by with every damn thing.

I remember being tremendously abused by her coming up and I was always blamed for it. Police officers in her county never did a damn thing but let her run through the system. She did whatever without jail, or consequences. It took the call this morning to find out something was very wrong. they played with her and let her do as she please all my life. This morning showed that was the wrong information and wrong decision.

I didn’t live with her no more that’s when even more hell started, I was still living in a different city. I’m not sure who was giving her information in the city she lived in, but I will find out. It got bad like this because she was already involved in a lot of criminal activities, but nobody did anything until I was forced to leave the county returning to the area. That’s where everything started rolling. My mama got away with everything in the city. It wasn’t until the new chief stepped in that something finally started happening.
