I would say absolutely nothing to her about it, I would just tell our manager. Who I imagine would most likely already be aware of it. It's not my job to tell her anything. She probably is hoping you do anyway so she can have a reason to get you fired.
Right. A lot of times women walk into a job just waiting to see if they can get somebody in trouble. Because they know the system is going to side with them, and also because they want to be able to control workplace dynamics by having everyone fear them. Male management included.
Pointing out something like this to someone would not "get you fired"! You must have worked in some pretty awful places over the years to witness that happen.
@Siri137 You are a woman so I don't imagine you will fully understand the shit that a man in the workplace can be up against at times. For you it would be easy to tell some woman at work that she has her ass half showing. If a man does that it's often times grounds for her to make an issue out of it. I've seen male co-workers get fired for shit that women employees will also do, but nothing happens to them. Even when she's doing wrong she will still be vindicated.
Like I said, you must have worked in some really awful places, and I say this because I have never witnessed anyone, male or female, lose their job over something like this. It has just never happened. Then again, you live in the US, a very different culture from mine, and I've never worked there.
@Siri137 Then there's your answer, you live in a different culture. In the U. S. the system is set up to support women even when they do wrong, and especially in the workplace. Even other men here will tell you what they've seen or experienced at work too.
