Do you get along with your coworkers?

So for the past two weeks, I was supposed to be planning a Christmas party and Secret Santa gift exchange at work. Last year, there was a female coworker who did this, but her, along with two male coworkers, left this year. Leaving just five of us original teachers left. But the boss wasn't getting back to me about it and kept ignoring me, including even Friday, as I need his approval with everything.

So I talked to him just half an hour ago, before leaving work, and he revealed to me that the other teachers aren't getting along with each other. I asked him if I had anything to do with it or if anyone was pissed off at me, and he said no. Me and him are the only male teachers left. So there's catfights and drama going on! I didn't even know this! I'm not always in-the-loop cause I'm not fluent in Korean.

But yeah. He told me due to the foul mood among the other teachers, the Secret Santa is canceled. We might still have a pre-Christmas party on Friday, but it'll be small and he'll take care of it to mitigate the drama going on and keep everyone friendly and polite.

This feels so weird to me, cause this is the first time that 1) there's drama going on in a job I'm working in, and it doesn't involve me, and 2) everyone likes me more than each other. I grew up in Philly, where hating everyone and plotting to get your coworkers fired was the norm. (Doesn't mean I did this; it's just what was the norm in that toilet of a city.)

Which also now means, it's up to me to "keep Christmas spirits up." *ME!* Have you met me before? I'm the f*cking Grinch! But I guess I gotta step up and be the one "let's all get along and be peaceful cause it's Christmas!" coworker, for once! So f*cking bizarre!

Anyway, do you get along with your coworkers?

Yes! We're all good friends!

Yeah we all get along! There’s a couple people who have issues with each other, but that’s mainly due to their personality types clashing and they can get on fine. We had our Christmas party the other weekend and had a great time!


I get on great with everyone at work no matter their age, whether they are a man or woman (I work in a male dominated place), and personality and I think the same goes for everyone here. Except one guy he sucks sometimes and annoys everyone but he can be fine most of the time too.

I'm good friends with a handful of my coworkers to where we have relationships outside of work. As for the rest of those in our location, it's a business casual sort of deal. Only 2 people I do not get along with and my manager knows qell enough to keep said people away from my office unless our cooperation is explicitly necessary.

I'm good with all my co workers I do not speak with the females I work with outside of work for many reasons & women are always beefing with eachother, sounds normal to me and honestly if u dislike it why are you trying to plan a secret Santa? You sound festive like St Nick, cause I wouldn't even bother asking lolol sounds like you got Christmas spirit lolol.

It's just my second year here, so I was stepping up and helping out more for the academy. I have the free time here, especially on Tuesdays, so I agreed to help.

i get along with most of my coworkers but on the other hand i don't get involved in any cliques but instead do what i need to do and always have a positive attitude and steer clear from the whiney negative types that are not team players and always try to blame others for their own faults but i always carried the acronym QTIP. I've been saying they aren't my family, but they pretty much became my family 🙄

I've noticed food and treats increase morale. Maybe try bringing sweets? 🤗

I used to buy pizza for lunch for everyone, every two weeks or so (mostly cause I wanted to eat pizza, but couldn't eat the whole box and can't buy it by-the-slice), but not too many people ever really ate it. They're mostly female and Korean, so I think they're very conscious about their weight. Maybe the office party will still happen this Friday after work.

Ahh. Most of the koreans I work with are old. I think they might bring the treats to their children, lol.
Well if the office party still goes on I recommend individually wrapped cute lindor milk chocolates! They're cute and shiny and just one is satisfying.

We did not have the party, by the way. All the coworkers just wanted to leave right at the hour, because it was on a Friday. I ended up giving everyone their presents, one by one, by going to their rooms individually, instead of it being a group celebration thing. It was very depressing and somber. Next year, I'm not buying anyone jack sh*t.

I get along well with everybody I work with. There are a few that have issues with each other, but I steer clear of that drama so long as it doesn't affect me.

I'm not currently working but I did. I knew not to unnecessarily make enemies, don't get roped into doing someone else's job for them, help others where you can, stand up for yourself. Working in a nearly all female office can be toxic.

Yes we get along great for the most part. I don't have much to do with my coworkers after work hours. If some of the others socialize outside of work I don't know.

Yeah, I get along with all of my coworkers. Some better than others but I don't have any issues with anyone that I currently work with.
