Celebrity worship is more than just being a casual fan. It's an obsession. CWS (Celebrity worship syndrome) is an obsessive-addictive disorder where an individual becomes overly involved and interested with the details of the personal life of a celebrity. In their quest for surgical perfection the following people have underwent years of painful surgery ,spending thousands of dollars to emulate their celebrity idol. BDD ( Body Dysmorphic Disorder) is probably also to blame. BDD is a mental illness where the person becomes obsessed with his / her own body image, and believes their own body to be inferior. People with BDD think about their physical flaws, whether they’re real or imagined, for hours each day. They become obsessed with changing their appearance. Plastic surgery becomes their ritual that they do repetitively. They are never happy with the outcome of their surgery. . They go back and get bigger lips,bigger breasts , another nose job. When they are eventually happy with their nose or lips they'll switch to obsessing about another part of their body, and the cycle continues.

1 ) Claire Louise Leeson - Kim Kardashian

Claire Louise Leeson , has spent $30,000 on surgical procedures to transform herself into her celebrity icon, Kim Kardashian. She started her transformation when she was just 17 year old. She's had a breast augmentation, teeth whitening, hair extensions,nose surgery and botox, . She is considering having fat transferred from other areas of her body implanted into her butt.

2 ) Georgina Clarke & Kayla Morris - Katie Price

Georgina Clarke and her daughter Kayla Morris,have spent over $60,000 on breast enlargements, lip fillers and semi-permanent make-up in an attempt to look like their idol - Glamour Model, Katie Price - a.k.a Jordan . Kayla started stripping at a nightclub when she was just 17 year old. While she was stripping she met a sugar daddy, who provides her with a weekly allowance , which pays for both of their treatments .

3 ) Tobias Strebel - Justin Bieber

Tobias Strebel, who went by stage name Toby Sheldon , endured numerous surgeries to transform his appearance to look like his idol , Justin Bieber. He spent almost $100,000 on plastic surgery on his eyes; brows ; liposuction ; chin reduction and hair transplants .He also had regular botox injections and his ears pinned back .Sadly ,he was found dead in a motel room in August , 2015 . His cause of death was determined as an accidental multiple drug overdose

4 ) Herbert Chavez - Superman

Herbert Chavez, has undergone 30 plastic surgery procedures to sculpt his face to resemble his childhood idol , Superman.He's had nose jobs, liposuction, rhinoplasty , fillers, lip injections, , tummy tuck, facelift , jaw realignment ,chin augmentations to give him a cleft, skin pigment orientation to whiten it, a butt implant, hip implants, and numerous steroid injections to various parts of his body. At the moment he wears bright blue contacts to change his eye colour from brown to blue , but he wants to have lenses implanted to change his eye colour permanently to blue. He wanted surgery to create a toned flat muscular stomach , but doctors refused to give him 6-Pack Abs Implants, due to injecting himself with illegal fillers,which is poisonous to the human body .

Female Michael Jackson impersonator Mikki Jay underwent plastic surgery to sculpt her face to look like Michael Jackson. She has spent $16,000 on remodelling her entire facial structure. She's had cheek surgeries ,and her chin & nose shaved down to look like Jackson’s.

6 ) Carolyn Anderson - Pamela Anderson

Carolyn Anderson ( she changed her surname to Anderson) has spent $40,000 on surgery and procedures in her quest to emulate her idol, Pamela Anderson. She receives regular highlights, hair extensions, eyebrow wax and tints, lip tattoos, botox injections and Melanotan II tan solution injections. She has had her teeth straightened , chemical skin peels, and breast implants. She also wears contact lenses to make her brown eyes appear blue

7 ) Adam Guerra - Madonna

Adam Guerra has spent more than $175,000 on cosmetic procedures in his quest to emulate his idol , Madonna. He has had his jaw reshaped, cheek & chin implants, a brow lift, botox and all kinds of fillers

It definitely is a mental illness and the surgeries look terrible, but I just want to point out that although the money spent is still absurd, it's actually not that many surgeries like you may think. Considering most plastic surgeries range from $5,000-$15,000, $40,000 for example doesn't afford as much plastic surgery as you would expect (and that's the cost including non-surgical procedures). But yeah, that's besides the point.

I know they look insane to the public but I do feel bad for them. BDD is such a difficult mental illness to deal with.

I have to wonder, what exactly are they trying to accomplish: copying the appearance of the celebrity they are obsessed with or obtaining that celebrities' fanbase? Because I strongly doubt they would do go to all of this trouble *just* to look their favorite tabloid figurehead. Perhaps they feel that, because they lack personality of their own, they can mimic someone else and leech off that person's success. At worst, they look physically disfigured and entirely unrecognizable as themselves (which, to them would be a good thing, because they never really had any companions) and at best they look like a facsimile of the person they are trying to look like, which would get people (their celebrities' fans) to notice them. Either way, it appears to be as yet several more cases of "do people like me?", in a rather perverted way that once again makes people question the nature of the human psyche.

That's crazy, I can't even start to imagine what deluded dreams they must have had to even consider going through with what are quite obviously botched surgeries, obviously they didn't know they would end up looking like Halloween masks but come on, multiple massive surgeries will always end up with a creepy result, no matter how much you pay.

Whether it's plastic surgery to look like someone else or plastic surgery in general I think there has to be some type of mental disturbance present. All surgery is dangerous and for someone to knowingly take the risk and alter something about themselves for cosmetic reasons and not for sheer necessity means that person is unhappy, and insecure on a deep level.

I hate this stereotype I've recently gotten into, but pretty much anyone who alters their body/face whether it's plastic surgery or just getting a few piercings or tattoos more than necessary, I lose respect for pretty much immediately. I know I shouldn't judge somebody before I get to know them, but I can't help it usually.

That's just stupid, these people have a mental illness as well as low self esteem and self worth. Otherwise they wouldn't be attempting to be someone else... I'd suggest psychological evaluation and treatment

Doing all those surgeries may make you look like you idol or sometimes great but at the long it's not worthy because age is going to catch up and sometimes it makes you uglier than what you used to be.

I think it's a form of an identity crisis. For example, these people are so unhappy with themselves, they wish to be someone else, someone they are not. Plus, all of these people look so unsettling and it's quite sad that they want to be someone else.
