The Cosmology of chess, love and passion for a game of intense strategy.

The point of this take is to share my love of chess with other players, mainly those that are not so good, or never studied the game intensively.

After both players move, there are 400 possible board setups that can exist. After the second pair of turns, there are 197,742 possible games, and after the third move, 121 million possible games could evolve, At every turn, players chart a progressively more distinctive path, and each game evolves into one that has probably never been played before. Some of those moves may be as redundant as waking up and walking to the news agents to by the news paper, why bother when everyone now has the internet, other moves might feel like we just split the first atom.

In July of 1994 Comet Shoemaker-levy 9 hit Jupiter's atmosphere traveling at an approximate speed of 216,000km/h or 134,000 mph, this collision was the first time Astronomers have ever seen an Extra terrestrial object strike another body in our solar system. The resulting impact was the biggest explosion in recorded history. Regardless of the outcome, everything in our universe has momentum, you feel it in a car when driving, running down a steep hill, hitting the brakes to avoid a wild animal, every action has an equal and Pre determined opposite reaction, that comet was always going to strike, that was it's it's function, in the game chess, all moves have to have a purpose, otherwise our decisions are redundant, poorly made choices in life have very bad outcomes sometimes.

"Chess hold its master in its own bonds, shackling the mind and brain so that the inner freedom of the very strongest must suffer" - Albert Einstein

I'm not sure what Albert is on about, but it's great that he plays chess, even if he suffers.

Just like string theory, Quantum Mechanics, our life choices decide all the possible universes we could possibly have lived in, each move creates a new realm of possibilities, on the Chess board, some of those lives we live, we win..... and others we loose. It's all down to I couldah.... shouldah...wouldah, you feel regret after you make a mistake, it's all good if you can learn from your mistakes, make it up in the next game.

The game of chess is not merely an idle amusement. several very valuable qualities of the mind, useful in the course of human life, are to be acquired or strengthened by it... Life is a kind of Chess, in which we have often points to gain, and competitors or adversaries to contend with.

RECOMMENDED STRATEGIES. 1. ESTABLISHMENT OF MINOR PIECES.

White pawns are occupying good positions, and black has got pretty good piece development.
White pawns are occupying good positions, and black has got pretty good piece development.

Central focus, and establishment of minor pieces is key to starting a good game. If you don't establish your peices early in the game you opponent will dominate the game, and probably win, best analogy in life, could be education, all round healthy up bringing, sports, well adjusted friendships, they could be the minor ingredients for living a good life, the minor pieces of a puzzle that create a winning game.

2. PUSHING AND PASS PAWNS.

White has two pawns that are a few moves away from advancement, on the Board file and H file.

It's always good to see a little guy succeed, you know when he was the underdog, and you watch him win the race several lengths ahead of his other competitors. When you get that pawn to the back of the board, it's like getting that pay rise and promotion all at the same time.

3. CENTRAL CONTROL OF THE BOARD.

Knights on the rim always feel pretty dim.

4. EXPLOITING OPEN FILES, DEFENCE AGAINST ENEMY CASTLES USING OPEN FILES TO ATTACH.

One of the best ways to exploit open files is by castling, strategically it's best to choose either the queen's side or king's side, depending on what side you opponent is attacking, castling brings your castle to the centre of the board, generally that's where most of the action should be located, and where most open files should logically be.

Another way to defend against open files is to decline taking your opponents pawns particularly on A and H files, by doing so you can block enemy pawn advancement, and not open the board for castles to move around freely.

One of the most important observations is making sure you never pin your king down to other pieces while he is in check, this happens most with advancing castles to the other end of the board, if you have advanced all your minor and heavy pieces besides your castles bring you king forward out of harm's way, and open room for your castles to defend each other.

5. THE ROGUE BISHOPS, CROSSING THE BOARD LIKE THEY OWN IT.

That bishop that you missed, deadly when in tandem with a knight, queen, or rook.

FAVOURITE PlAYERS

Adolf Anderssen
Adolf Anderssen

One of my favourite players of all time is Adolf Anderssen, he played a game in 1852 against one of his Students it's called the Evergreen game, it's quite fun to watch, YouTube has good videos, but we can't download them because of copyright issues, don't be a Rubiks cube, look it up.

Paul Morphy, is another one of my all-time favourite players, bit of a legend, he was a child prodigy, the Mozart of Chess.

FAVOURITE MOVE

THE ROYAL FORK

The Cosmology of chess, love and passion for a game of intense strategy.

The Black Knight has made a very decisive move, putting the king in check and threatening the white queen at the same time, unfortunately the white king has to move, and the next move the white queen will fall to the black Knight.

Nothing beats that feeling when got the school bully's girlfriend, with her skirt up, in the toilet cubicle, and he is Gaffa taped to the toilet in the next cubicle.....listening....you know what I mean, how awesome is chess???

That's all, this take could have a book written about it, the moral to the story is that each life we live we have one, filled with ups and downs, put strategy in your life, have a life of purpose, and meaning, look for truth, and wisdom, and most of all have a set of rules, make sure that everybody abides by them, play that game fairly, and hopefully you will be a winner.
