Eh, nvm. Long story short. There is this girl I have a crush with at work. We speak occasionally. She is very nice, and does most of the talking. I bought her a gift, and eventually asked her to coffee, and she said she was a bit too busy (ended up being true). Soo I owned up to the fact I had a crush on her. She told me she was honored, but was currently seeing someone... After that I felt embarrassed, and was struggling with depression/insecurity and even stopped talking to her or making eye contact. So we didn't talk for about 2 months. Now I've started talking to her again, and she is still really nice.
I plan of explaining myself to her before the summer comes. I want to tell her that I am struggling a lot, and avoiding her wasn't cause I dont like her or didn't want to talk... and want to use the summer to reset myself.
I want to end on a good note. I dont necessarily expect her to date me If its friends then its okay
If you guys are good friends. And you feel she would genuinely care. Then yeah, you could let her know. However if you think she would brush your feelings to the side. Then I wouldn't recommend it.
It truly depends on what you want to accomplish from letting her know. There is a good chance she may not even think to much about it and doesn't think it was her at all. But if you tell her she could say something like "oh I'm sorry to hear that, glad to know it wasn't me."
It's honestly up to what you think her judge of character is. From the sounds of it. She will most likely care. And be nice and may even ask what's wrong.
You should keep me updated! I hope I was helpful!
If it was me I would wanna try and help! So if there is anything I can do. Don't be afraid to reach out!
Thanks! Well, it wasn't just her I've been really distant with most people for a while. I was struggling, and have no one to talk with. I would just avoid social situations in general.
Since she was so nice with me, and would talk to me often and then I just stopped talking (especially after her telling me she had a partner).. I dont want to leave the year on a bad note, making it seem like I have no interest in speaking.
Like I said, I've talked to her a few times over the past weekend, and she's nice as always. Just wanted to end things on a positive note and let her know (in a natural way), that im working on myself, and my coldness is from struggles im having.
With how she will react to it? I am not sure. She has told me personal things before, about struggling and I've mentioned to her in the past of struggles and she seemed to genuinely care. So perhaps she will care..
the main point is I want to make it so my coldness is understandable. and that I am using this summer as a reset to better myself That way I see more approachable.
Knowing more now. I think you will be fine telling her. As well as she will be understandable.
Good for you on wanting to better yourself. But don't beat yourself up either. You don't always have to be okay It's okay to not be okay at times. At least your trying you know?
Thanks! :) I will for sure try to find a way to tell her. I thought maybe id make a joke about work... like Wednesday, walking to her and being like "Its Friday right?" and then telling her we only have a few days left until Summer!! and ask her what she's doing for the Summer and then it would be easy to just move to telling her my Summer plans :)
Why does he need to give up being friends? He was going through something. That didn't have something to do with her. He went silent to fix himself. That doesn't mean he needs to never speak with her again.
Now of it hurts him then he should take it slow. But don't let a girl get you down forever.
She is a decent actress. She is very upset. And wants I think a little to aggressive in her acting. But then again she is a third sister from the dark side. I also think it will be interesting to see if Cal has anything to do with this series. Even a glimpse.
I agree with you for the most part. I did watch the movies (except for the Han Solo one - I just could not get an opportunity to watch it); I've seen all the major releases in theaters including Star Wars in 1977.
But, I won't bother with anything behind a paywall. Disney and CBS and God knows who else - they "buy IP" and do "brand extension" so they can milk the shit out of it like a cow until it dies. Disney did that with Peanuts and is doing it with Star Wars. CBS is doing it with Star Trek. I am surprised Disney hasn't bought the Harry Potter empire so it can do the same thing. Frankly, it's just a matter of time.
I knew when Disney paid Lucas (I think, $4B), it was "Game Over" and that they were going to get a constant output of crap. Even if it's not crap as may be the case with this Obi Wan show, it just makes each thing less valuable or special. The suits don't give a shit - they just care about getting paid now.
That makes sense. I watched them but never really grasped them at a young age them my so loves them and wanted to see the new one so he had me watch them all so I was up to speed.
You did nothing wrong @NathanDavis. I was never picking on you. Let me explain.
Star Wars is considered "science fiction" by most people because 1) there are spaceships and advanced technology and 2) there are aliens.
But, to people to whom science fiction is actually important, a critical element of science fiction is that the currently non-existent technology in the story is leading to new types of situations with all sorts of new problems or ethical quandaries. What SciFi does is make you think and feel in response.
Star Wars isn't about that. It's just an epic comic book movie. Sort of like Flash Gordon but with better special effects. Star Wars has religious crap and is ultimately mythology about good and evil with a zillion characters. No different than ancient Greek mythology, but the ships sail space, not the Seven Seas.
Parenthetically, keep that in mind: People want and pay for mythologies. Star Wars is a mythology. Star Trek is a mythology. Harry Potter is a mythology.
However, even team sports - yes, sports - are real-life nonfiction mythologies.
Think about it: Like in baseball, we talk about these great heroes and events from years or even generations ago. This stuff is handed down generation after generation. We create Halls of Fame to cement the myths, etc.
For example, Michael Jordan is really a mythological figure and if you remember seeing his exploits in the 1990s, that is easy to see. Google "Flu Game" which was the Game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals. The Chicago Bulls needed to win that game in Utah to go 3-2 in the series. However, certain Utah Jazz fans who were pizzeria employees decided to alter MJ's pizza the night before. Jordan woke up with "flu-like symptoms" but he was really food-poisoned. Jordan miraculously played in that game and was the key factor in the Bulls winning that game. I saw that game live on NBC. An amazing moment... The kind of thing that builds up the story of the journey of sports mythological hero, Michael Jordan.
Star Wars is like that too with Luke Skywalker...
Both are "Hero's Journeys".
Real science fiction usually has more complex stories than "the hero's journey". "Jurassic Park" is a decent example of science fiction.
I’ll never forgive them for turning their back on him, all because they didn’t want to associate themselves with him.
When for one it’s proving to be that the accusations against him where proven to be untrue. And also because he is the reason they where able to make a whole series of films. So a little bit of appreciation for him is warranted
No one can do it better. He is a phenomenal actor.
Definitely lost my respect Disney. BUT I'm a huge kid at heart. My childhood is Disney. I won't pay for it myself anymore. But I will watch it. (I respect your decision not to) if you ever get to a point where you could forgive them. I recommend it. If you like star wars it's phenomenal.
I think Disney is trash because all their new releases are focused on diversity and pushing lgbt community and minority stuff. Marvel is focused on women superheroes and making men useless. Dr Strange movie is a good example. Look how they ruined Dr Strange and made him weak, made fun of him the whole movie for multiple things like not getting the girl, not being sorcerer supreme, not knowing Spanish, being evil in all the other multiverse, and they even had no good fight scene for him. Disney has ruined their movies and is making fun of their original cast because they’re all white male heroes. I can’t handle the obvious agenda pushing. China isn’t going to show movies with homosexual content so I don’t know why they keep appeasing them.
I think so. I think what they have is what we're getting which is sad I certainly loved getting to know the story behind him and the snarlack Pitt. I also have a mad respect for tusken raiders. (Minus the fact they killed Anikins mom of course!!)

Yes it was good but not fantastic I will continue to watch it
Nah, is it on netflix? Have ya watched the strange rthings ss4?
I have 2 episodes left 😠I will finish today. Obi wan Is on Disney+
I expected the inquisitor's reveal to Obi-Wan that Vader is still alive to be better
I love it!
unrelated, but do you give girl advice?
I can yeah, what do you want to know?
Eh, nvm. Long story short. There is this girl I have a crush with at work. We speak occasionally. She is very nice, and does most of the talking. Sure thing!
@mvcyberduvm I’d just move on seeing her again would bring up old wounds. Out of site out of mind. You can meet in social groups but not one on one
Why does he need to give up being friends? He was going through something. That didn't have something to do with her.

I think they have ruined Star Wars with the new shit movies
Yeah. I can understand that
The new series are not bad though.
Yes, it’s brilliant, but Moses Ingram is not a good actress.
She is a decent actress. She is very upset. And wants I think a little to aggressive in her acting. But then again she is a third sister from the dark side. I also think it will be interesting to see if Cal has anything to do with this series. Even a glimpse.
I thought it was pretty enjoyable. That one seen with the clone though.
Hits hard
When Disney bought the franchise Star Wars died for me. I’d never watch one of those movies again!
I agree with you for the most part.

I liked it, but would rather see it as a movie and not a series.
I'm waiting for the sequel: Obi Two Kenobi.
I probably will sooner or later, not a huge star wars fan but I do like to watch them occasionally
Not yet, but I'm sure I'll forget it even exists by Wednesday
nope... never watched a Star Wars movie before
That's shocking. Is there a reason why?
nope, not a particular reason... I was just not into the sci-fi type of movies, particularly about space
and no one in my family was into them either, so I didn't catch the Star Wars fever... lol
That makes sense. I watched them but never really grasped them at a young age them my so loves them and wanted to see the new one so he had me watch them all so I was up to speed.
I've thought about that some times, lol... if I end up married with a big time Star Wars fan, or Marvel, any other big franchise... Harry Potter
I'll be able to watch them ALL with them and it will be all new to me, lol...
Star Wars has nothing to do with science fiction.
screenrant.com/star-wars-movies-not-sci-fi-reason/
You've never seen Harry Potter?
@abc3643 oh... I am truly sorry
yes... all of the scientific premises in Star Wars are not fictional at all...
all of that technology, instruments and physics are not fantasy whatsoever... my bad
therefore I should have never confused with the sci-fi genre... apologies
@MissUnknownn I have heard about it, I know about it... but I have not read the books nor watched the movies yet, lol
You did nothing wrong @NathanDavis. I was never picking on you. Let me explain.

Star Wars is a mythology.
Star Trek is a mythology.
Harry Potter is a mythology.
Google "Hero's Journey" and "Joseph Campbell"/"monomyth"

Same in the other sports.

@abc3643 I'll buy all of that... just because it was Costco's day, lol
Don’t care.
Fuck Disney
That's fair.
Is there a reason why you don't like it?
They did Johnny Depp sooo wrong.
I’ll never forgive them for turning their back on him, all because they didn’t want to associate themselves with him.
When for one it’s proving to be that the accusations against him where proven to be untrue. And also because he is the reason they where able to make a whole series of films. So a little bit of appreciation for him is warranted
I haven't heard of this. I will look this up. What happen with Johnny and Disney?
Yeah the whole Amber Heard thing is wild. I hope she gets what she deserves.
And I understand the justice for Johnny. But you're completely done with them over the Johnny Depp trial? Or is there more to it?
Disney basically told Johnny they will no longer have him Jack Sparrow
So like their completely wiping out the pirates? Or he just no longer will be involved. (I thought they were done making those movies?)
From what I understand. They will no longer have him play Jack Sparrow, and will use someone else if they do make more films
Well that is seriously fucked.

I haven't seen the new doctor strange movie. Not yet! I heard it got bad reviews which is sad considering Cumberbatch is my favorite.
But I wouldn't worry what Disney has to say about men. Disney sounds shitty themselves.
Wait, the boba fett one is over already?
I think so. I think what they have is what we're getting which is sad I certainly loved getting to know the story behind him and the snarlack Pitt. I also have a mad respect for tusken raiders. (Minus the fact they killed Anikins mom of course!!)
Anakin.*
I will send a raven to my village with the message that a new series has begun!
Why doesn’t Star Wars just make more movies
Probably because the last 2 did so horribly. Lol
it wasn’t bad, off to a slow start tho
I thought it was pretty face paced for 2 episodes. But hey I can also see the slowness
Not yet. Hope to see it someday soon
Is it good? :)
For someone who hated star wars in the beginning and learned to like it. Yes it's really good.
